Jaguar X type, good or bad?

We are looking at buying an X - type. Ok, so running costs will not be cheap, but I already have a 3.1td 4x4. Those of you that drive them how do you find them? I believe they are based on a ford mondeo. I have a very good independent mechanic. I have been looking at 03 models with 60,000 miles. Will be chatting to…

I'd a first-of-the-new-model XJ there - a 2003 Exec one in grey with light grey leather. Great cars too and can now be got for around £3,000.
