I may have a unused 3G replacement contract sim, you can login here & put the new sim number in and service transfers to the new sim.

Cross-network mobile calls are 35p/min on OVP Virgin
J B is right with other costs - 10p for texts,
landlines and orange mobiles: 15p for first 5 mins in any day, then 5p/min
(Non-geographic and other mobile minutes do not count towards the 5 mins)
Voicemail is FREE
As a low non-data user who prefers a monthly bill, I stuck with OVP Virgin for many many years, but have now moved to The Phone Co-op, which although costs £2/month for absolutely nothing in terms of allowance, and can be beaten with value PAYG options, the 7p/minute charge with 1pum charge suits me better, and I remain on a monthly bill. Do miss free voicemail, but I can access that online.
Stuart do you have your old OV P sim active ? or did you PAC number to Co-op, have a 3 broadband casual for sat nav. but 3-3 calls are 20p a minute !!SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I think I understand you now
but the folks from Orange 'live chat' or whatever it's called told me that ....
<<00:07:05 James : We have the sim in an old Nokia and are thinking of putting it into a smartphone
00:07:14 James : would we need a new sim?
00:09:20 Kyle : The data charges are £3.06 per mb. You would only need a new sim card if the new phone takes a micro/nano sim card. Do you know what phone you were thinking of?
00:09:57 James : Huwaei G300
00:10:37 James : Are old sims not 3g enabled or is that a myth?
00:12:17 Kyle : That takes a normal size sim. We used to have to send a 3g sim card out, but advances in our systems mean that we can now provision 3G services retrospectively. >>
So, according to that, the existing sim will work ok, but when I 'upgrade' to the Dolphin7, then I will ask the question.
Thanks for the offer though

No worries, I'd keep OVP as a spare for emergencies/data sim with a data bundle you can add or drop for satnav/netbook, emergency mobile etc & get another new sim on account for Dolphin 7, simply leave a voicemail saying this is my/wifes new number on OVP sim. Dolphin 7 sim can add a Orange "magic number" as the OVP number = free calls to it.
I have broadband casual on 3 for this purpose, £0.00 spend a month, 20p a call, £1 a MB I rarely use for sat nav but when I do for other family friends with no modern internet phone to sat nav its a few quid a month.
Also use it for outlook email access on laptop/netbook only where I may not have a signal or 3G on my Orange/T-Mobile phone, rare but extremely handy indeed, its in the glovebox in a cheap 3G phone for emergencies. As is my spare Orange £5.95 http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/ALCATEL_OT_228/PPAY?clearance=false&src=deal-finder&colourCode=SILVER&tariffNetworks= backlit keypad and radio with internal antenna...bargain !
If you want the 3G sim let me know, very old 2G sims do not work on 3G and chat is full of incorrect info, what happens when you outsource to third parties, staff wing answers as to look competent

I just tried making a call and it's still working, I haven't used it since 2003....
Fancy transfering it to a poor man who is getting poorer as 3 is robbing him on sim zero & broadband casual contracts for occassional use lol, my main contract is Orange not 3 but no-one else has done anything like OVP at decent rates to same network !
There must be a market for it even these days, even roaming (which is where I mainly use my 3 sims personally) I considered the Co-op about 18 months ago posted above but £2 for every month not used is not a MSE saving thing to do so I refuse to do it.
Anyone else got £0 spend a month with decent data rates/bundles with less than 20p a minute contracts out of all the resellers these days there must be one I'm missing maybe ?SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
