Excuse my ignorance - but why would I want to use the firmware for another network? I have an O2 contract SIM that now works in this PDA (M3100).
Can I re-run the earlier mentioned software to unlock the Super-CID even after I've run the SIM unlock?
How would I benefit from having T-Mobile or another?
Even though I use O2, when I switch the phone on I still get the Orange boot screen - would flashing it get rid of this?
Also, while browsing for software (http://pdatopsoft.com/software/) I see Windows CE but not Windows Mobile. How is this different? Is WinCE software compatible with WinMobile?
Is there a website that anyone can recommend for "Dummies" in the PDA? I love my new device but want to get more out of it.
for example, like the Orange firmware has lots of Orange "branding" on it....if you installed, say generic HTC firmware, you can get rid of it? that's just one example of how new firmware may benefit your phone
i'm not sure about windows CE....but the m3100 is a Pocket PC phone thats runs on windows mobile 5.0...so when looking for software, try Pocket PC or WM5 software?
also, have a look down at https://www.coolsmartphone.com they do software reviews and you can browse and see which ones are useful for you
