It's feels strange that I have paid off so little yet I feel that I have achieved a lot. I think it is because I have now faced my 'demons' and have set up a plan.
Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me on this short (so far) journey.
What I am enjoying the most at the minute is being able to get a nights sleep, and being able to get to sleep without tossing and turning and wondering how i am going to get out of things.

Haven't posted for a couple of day s but things still seem to be going in the right direction - fingers crossed.
One of the PDL's has come back to me agreeing to my minimum payment and holding interest and charges - needless to say I was struck dumb by this (so many people would say that statement is an impossibility!!)
I have had to spend a whole 58p today on a pint of milk for my tea at work!!! So much for my NSD's!!!
Still keeping the faith and hoping to be debt free sooner rather than later!!!Debts: Vanquis, Avon, Lowell, Gothia, Natwest, Capital One, Very, Cheque Centre, Loan Xtra, Txt loan and WageDay Advance. Total 3589.39/7910

I was feeling really good about things yesterday then logged into my bank account today only to find that I am £300 overdrawn.
I don't have an o'd in fact I turned one down just last week. Good news is I have my tax credits being paid into my account on Thursday so that will at least bring it down some. It just means that I will have to tighten my belt even more. I have £30 cash that I lifted out on the 1st and that is my 'spending money' for the month for little things like milk for work or a sandwich if I forget my lunch... So far other than 58p that I had in change I haven't had to spend anything this month.:)
I had really hoped to make it to the end of the month without incurring any further charges or fees not likely now as the bank charges me £5 per day (max of 8 charges) plus the charges for anything that doesn't get paid. Therefore I will be paying the bank some money next month.
I have found a way to make some further cutbacks to my groceries and petrol so the money I save on that will hopefully pay for the charges.
I guess the only really good thing is that other than fresh bread/milk etc I have my groceries in for the month and I managed to do it for £85
almost half what I would normally spend. Lots of rice and pasta and freezer is full with the likes of mince.
After posting my SOA I had a really long and hard look at what I was spending and why I have a larder cupboard that is bursting at the seams and a freezer full of bits and pieces that I wasn't eating because I 'didn't fancy it'. I also was using my car for journeys that I could walk. The £50 for other child expenses is now £0 as my ex husband said he will pay for these (he's been really great about all of this recently - maybe something Poo has said!)
I am looking for a new job that pays more and still gives me the hours that I need - but that is a long shot at present no harm in looking though.
There is something quite cathartic about this diary - I am anonymous to probably everyone on here, I can speak freely, openly and honestly and not feel ashamed of my situation (the only shame is getting myself here in the first place) and I feel supported by many of you who have been making this journey. I do not feel completely alone and that in itself has been a god send.
Thank you to you all.Debts: Vanquis, Avon, Lowell, Gothia, Natwest, Capital One, Very, Cheque Centre, Loan Xtra, Txt loan and WageDay Advance. Total 3589.39/7910

The title of your thread is Feeling blue and a more than a little defeated today. I disagree!!! Other than the overdraft and bank charges, to me it's actually a rather positive post!!
