I've just remembered that some MS company I've signed up with asked for my photo... but I can't for the life of me remember who it was! Can't remember whether it was an email (can't find one) or on their site...
Any idea who this might be? The only thing I remember is they asked for a photo to be emailed or posted...
Or have I dreamt this up...
Hi, You're not going mad! I signed up for a company that asked for a photo. I think it was a company called Retail Maxim (Or something similar). They asked me to send a passport photo but I couldn't be bothered!0 -

Just had a proper look through my inbox and it is indeed Retail Maxim that the email was from. They didn't specify it should be a passport photo, just a head and shoulders shot.
Wonder what they're going to do with it?Anyway, better send it as it might improve my chances of getting an assignment.

Hello there,
I work at Grassroots (I'm one of those people that phones you up, seeing if you're able to do an assignment!). I've lurked this site quite a lot before, but a lady I phoned today said they were always talking about mystery shopping on here, so I though I'd register.
Just a few tips if you want to try and get more assignments:
1. If you accept an assignment, do it when you say you will and key it as soon as possible! Don't for God's sake accept an assignment and then fail to do it - you'll be seen as unreliable, a note will be made, and you're less likely to get work in the future...At the same time, don't feel pressured to accept an assignment you're offered - if you refuse an assignment, this in no way counts against you.
2. It doesn't matter where you live. If you live in the middle of nowhere, then we'll still give you assignments, as you'll be one of the few in that area. Similarly, if you live in a densely populated area, you're also bound to get assignments as they crop up all the time.
3. If you particularly fancy doing a mystery shop one day/week, then give us a ring. We'll put out an email to everyone, saying that you're looking for work in a certain area - if we know you're looking for work, we'll offer it to you first (saves us a lot of time).
Hope that helps - any question, just ask.0 -
