Just a random note about RE, if I go to "available jobs" it will say theres none available... but if I put in the town name, it will say they are available. I might just be being dumb with the settings but if people aren't getting any available jobs it might be worth just searching just in case!

    yes, same for me.

Let us know if they actually allocate it to you please, if it's the coffee one I think there may be quite a few in front of you for it. They take ages to allocate jobs but never actually tell you that you haven't been given it - they just disappear from your job board.

I have applied for numerous ones with them and they always seem to give them to someone else.

It's quite funny because recently they have had a lot with a building society and had to increase the amount (twice) that they were paying because no on was taking them up. I know the flight ones they keep for their "experienced" shoppers.

Also from memory they pay in Euros - so you need to watch the amount you actually get. Coffee one is 5 Euro so worth about £3.50 before any bank charges. Maybe someone who has shopped for them before could confirm how this works out.
  • A heads up for all of you going on a tns hotel visit soon, if you book through pigsback you get almost £15 in vouchers for booking - its part of the intercontinental group so search for that (a nice extra ;)

Yes, it's the coffee one. Just thought I'd give it a go, but if nothing materialises then it's not a big deal.

And why can't they make it clear on their site that there is a queue for these jobs?

Thanks for your comments - I didn't even realise there would be any bank charges!

Yeah, I realised that after the jobs were gone - I wasn't going to do it for nothing and then twigged it wouldn't be nothing if booked through PB :o

    Oh well, next time...

Be careful - you would need to check with TNS before you do this - if the booking process is part of the questionnaire you will probably need to ring a specific number or book using a specific website, otherwise you will invalidate the assignmeent & your expenses will not be reimbursed.

The same thing applies when trying not to use specified 0870 etc numbers for assignments - if you look up an alternative number using saynoto0870 you could find you are calling a completely different department!
