I have recently got accepted by TNS - what sort of assignments can I expect - ie who are their clients?
Have just started working for IMS Field Marketing, and also work for Cybershoppers, Gapbuster, Retail Eyes, BARe and Grassroots. I tend to do 1 or 2 assignments a week so it is a bit extra to clearing my debts!0 -
I only earned £60 last year doing mystery shopping and now iv'e got to fill in a tax return could someone help me as i havn't a clue

Sorry, but we aren't allowed to say who the clients are! There are regular supermarkets, coffee shops (think these are only available once you are established), DIY shops and some other things. They usually have a fairly healthy list of assignments!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Thanks I just wanted an idea who I can expect. Didn't expect the actual shop names!!!0

I couldn't find it either, so thanks for that., but I wonder if they've removed it because they don't want new people at the moment. Have completed it, and will wait and see if I get "taken on".0 -
I wondered that too josie. Oh well - we shall "wait and see".

Hi Sandra,
I wouldn't worry too much about it - just scroll back through here for lots of advice. On the whole, I have been reliably infromed that because the amount reimbursed are so low, it's hardly going to cost you anything in tax terms anyway.
Hopefully you've kept a record of what you've spent and what you've been reimbursed - you'll probably find, that things like petrol, even to somewhere 5 miles away, printing costs, parking costs, etc., etc. outweigh what you were given from the mystery shopping company. So that's 10 miles at 40p per mile is already £4 expenses incurred - throw in your parking and on what these companies pay, you'll probably find you owe Inland Revenue not a lot!
If you ended up buying something for £6, and were only reimbursed £4 - there's another couple of quid expenses to knock off too!
Hope this helps0
