Is it possible for you to pay for the purchase by credit or debit card? If so, then you'll have the credit card receipt which will confirm the expense.
To be totally honest I'm not sure. I've never paid by credit card at this particular place and can't recall seeing the PIN things. The amount would also be fairly small...Does this mean you do need a receipt to be able to put it as expenses rather than a fee?0 -
I always work out my expenses as what I get in fees amd what I spend,, I do not count Test Purchases, but keep a copy of reciepts to prove the transaction, Very easy with Gapbuster because you scan it in and thats it, you can even use the reciept to get a refund :-DWe’ve had to remove your signature because your opinion differs from ours. The problem I have here though is the specific job I'm doing requires me NOT getting a receipt for my purchases. If I have no receipt, I have no proof therefore do I have to declare the entire fee for tax, even though half of it (prob more than half actually) is spent on purchases.0 -
If it were me then I would definitely NOT pay tax on the whole fee. I would declare deduct the cost of the purchase, less parking if applicable & then pay tax on the rest.
Normally I would expect to have receipts to confirm a purchase but in this case you have a brief from the company confirming the requirement to make a purchse & confirming that you shouldn't get a receipt. Keep a copy of the brief in case the Inland Revenue ever query it.0
