Mainly at train stations or on buses. I figured that if people are looking for work here then maybe I could let people know when we are recruiting - cos our projects are long term with contracts recently renewed for several years so it would be guaranteed work if people are accepted. I would rather not name us, but we are one of the largest market research companies in the UK (and world) and part of a large stakeholder group.
I think that since the first quarter is coming to an end it may be soon that we advertise.0 -

Dazzieboo, you would maybe earn more money standing on street corners than doing MS work.:rotfl:

Hi Gbatey,
if you do decide to do MS work and go first to the Gapbuster website, dont be fooled into thinking that what you see there is typical of all MS companies because I can assure you that it isn't!
I guess some shoppers will defend Gapbuster but in my experience, I've found them very poorly paid, the website is slow to navigate around, you get 8 hours not 24 hours to report back the results, they refuse to pay if there's the slightest thing wrong .... I could go on and on and on
Try TNS, or if you dont mind doing bank jobs try Grassroots maybe0 -
grgresearch.com is goodi will be debt free, i will0

The_Boss wrote:Just asking again - are any of you interested in interviewing? I can let you know when my company are recruiting interviewers. We do different projects - some with 3 hours shifts at different times of the day, some where you can choose to work for certain hours and some with much longer hours.
I don't know which company you're with but do they pay so much per hour or so much per completed questionnaire??
the reason I ask is that after three days training with Ipsos MORI, the street corner interviewing work that I was promised on a "per hour" basis suddenly changed into door knocking and being paid a set rate only for completing 10 questionnaires. A full weekend later provided only 5 completed surveys meaning that I had not completed the quota and I therefore wouldn't receive a penny. I declined the opportunity to work another 2 days to (hopefully) get remaining 5 surveys and thus claim the £96 fee. 4 days however meant that the equivalent per hour rate would drop to £3 (compared to the £8.20 ph described on the training days) In the end no wonder I told em where to stick it!
I'm not surprised people didn't want to complete the surveys though... in return for answering nearly 50 minutes worth of boring questions, they were rewarded with the grand total of one plastic biro0 -

I agree,the 8 hour deadline is soooooo unrealistic ! grrr0 -
Grrr. Why oh why is it that Grass Roots paperwork rarely corresponds with the questions on the web when you key in your results.
I've just had a nightmare of one to do that hasn't, I feel, allowed me to tell 'the whole experience'. It was a good assignment and the customer service was fantastic as well!0 -
I registered with TNS yesterday. Didn't realise how long the questionnaire was going to be but I persevered anyway! Haven't heard anything back from them yet but I hope I'm accepted as they ask you to submit your bank details very early on... felt quite dubious about that part.0
