    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:

  • Hi everyone, I've been reading over this thread over the last few days, its been very helpful!

I've been mystery shopping for around a month now and find it so addictive.

A quick question though if anyone can help me...

I failed a petrol online test for GAP, and it says I wont be able to carry out assignments for these.

Is that forever, or can I retake the test next month?
  • Neither of these, if my experience is anything to go by.

I managed to fail the 'stamp buying' test, and it took them about 6 months before they offered it to me again. I did LOTS of other jobs for them in the mean time (and I'm not sure I can be bothered to retake the test as they pay so badly!)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Do RE have a set time of the week that they announce new jobs on their site? I keep logging on to check but keep seeing the "Sorry no jobs found" bit!! Grrrrr....
  • Never mind, it's my own fault for rushing through thinking I can do it without readng the notes! I passed one of the petrol ones so at least I can still get some free petrol. I've got 4 of those lined up today and another 5 tomorrow....just hope my car holds that much!!

Hows everyone else doing with mystery shops? I've got a really busy month, I'm doing at least 3 a day 6 days a week....OH isn't too happy as we booked this week off work togather and I'm doing all these shops. But were saving up for our holiday in Florida in June so I keep reminding him of that!

Hi, it seems to me as if there isn't a particular day of the week they put new jobs on, but I've noticed that it seems to be in the afternoon. Your best bet is to keep looking whenever you can. I go on around 8 times a day when I'm not working but very rarely pick anything up.

I hope you've got a big petrol tank if you're doing 9 petrol jobs, you have to put a minimum of £10 worth of petrol in for each one. Make sure you do because Gap won't pay you if you don't put the minimum amount in, even if you are just 1p under they'll reject the assignment.

Good luck with your mystery shopping.
