if you havent heard by now then you havent been successful
they are crap like that :rolleyes:an email to say you havent got the job would be nice !! lol
AND they leave the jobs on the jobs board so people can keep applying not knowing if the job has been assigned to someone or not !
very annoying system ! :mad:0 -
I have registered with Grassroots and no one else yet. I have now had an email asking if I'd like to do a MS in Jan and I have accepted. Today I had a call from them asking if I would take on a couple more as there isn't any other MSs in my town. Are people doing MS in short supply in what you people know about the business? And also if GRs have a shortage of MSs in my area do you think other companys would be too? Sorry but one more
....they asked me if I could travel about 1 and half hour to do one and I did say that was bit too far out for me but they would pay petrol. I declined for now as I didn't know what to ask for to cover for fuel. How do you work it out?
Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

Hey guys
Hope you are all well on this miserable December day.
Am due to do a TNS pub with food one tomorrow but have just noticed this on the end of the brief...
A maximum of £20 to cover the purchase of food and drink s. If you took other people on
the visit with you or spent more than £20, their costs will not be reimbursed
by TNS.
Does it always say this on foodie ones? I've never noticed it before. I don't want to do it on my own!!0 -
I am still looking for shoppers in the Salisbury, Doncaster and Grimsby areas for urgent visits if there are any about.
Thanks0 -
Lots of new jobs for 2007 on TNS!0

Whether or not there's a shortage depends which area you're in. If there's a shortage for one company in a particular, then I would have thought there's a shortage for other companies - most people sign up with multiple agencies IME. Lucky you - it beats having to compete with loads of people for all the assignments which come up!
The Inland Revenue allows you 40pence per mile for travelling expenses, and that's what I get in my job with the council (when they'll authorise travelling that is!). But I think most MS companies give 20-25pence per mile. But if they're desparate enough to ask you to travel for 1 1/2 hours to do a job, I'm sure it would be open to negotiation

Yay, finally got myself a ms for next year. Just happened to go on TNS and there were loads on there, though only one for me but happy anyway cos I get a meal out with hubby, for free!

Just received the new sign up info for GFK's independent panel - looks as if you have to sort out your own tax and NI if you want to join this. I've only been with GFK for the last two years as I didn't want to have to sort out tax/NI!!
Can anyone tell me if it's quite easy to deal with the tax man? I don't do that much MSing as I work full time too.
Thanks if you can help.0
