Thanks for that, I normally do, but I was in the middle of town and could hardly stop in the middle of the shops filling in the questionnaires unfortunately! I was literally going from shop to shop to cafe to bank etc.
I use my mobile phone a lot and text important details to my husband's phone! He ends up with about twenty texts with details of what people look like etc!0 -

Fascinating subject this, I have just been on to the Retail Eyes site and applied, see how it goes. I work for London Underground and I know we have mystery shoppers. Does anyone know which company supplies Mystery shoppers for LUL? I would love to know, i would like to be a double agent exciting isnt it. Also do any of you folk ever get assignments to test out the great staff on London Underground? Years ago a few of us used to try to spot them and we would ask them point blank if they were a MS and how much were they getting paid for it, I am sure we got quite a few right. Some of them you could spot as they walked up to you, but I dont ever ask them anymore I promise.Aint nuthin goin on but the rent0

You won't be able to mystery shop London Underground if you work for them. It's a conflict of interest. You wouldn't get the same level of service from a colleague you knew as a stranger like me would. You'd certainly get a cheery "hi how are you?" type greeting, where as I might be treat with less enthusiasm.
I'm not saying you would, but there may be people out there who would give good reports for their mates, and bad reports for colleagues they've fell out with, so it wouldn't be fair either.
Some competitors won't let you shop competitiors either, so you might not be able to shop overground train services or buses either.
Good luck with Retail Eyes. You should be fine shopping all the high street stores. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Damn - I did a pub visit yesterday and needed a receipt for the meal. I asked for one but there was a blokey standing next to me shouting an order at one of the staff and she mustnt have heard me. She didnt givve me a reciept, but I couldnt really ask again without it bieng obvious I was a mystery shopper. So thats me £15 down.
I have to say the meal was nice, but I wouldnt have chosen to eat in that pub unless I was going to get the money back.
I've explained on the form but I'm not hopeful for the reimbursement.
