Crikey you're brave Leni doing them all in one day! I split mine over two days so it's not overkill!

Also with figured with two babes in tow who seem to constantly have streaming noses etc at the moment I should be alright for not running out of questions to ask!!

their not so bad and all on a "route". I'll fill in the questionnaires between shops (obviously out of view)

Last time I did the chemist ones, I checked our supply of medicines i.e. painkillers, cold/flu tablets/ allergy relief and catered my enquiries around getting that i.e. "My partner is having a bad time of it at the moment, we're looking after someones cat whilst their away on holiday - can you recommend anything for his allergy?"

"My partner has really bad tooth ache, but can't get into the dentist for a couple of days, can you recommend a good painkiller?"

for the pharmasist it's usually " we're going away to the carribean in a few weeks and I think we need malaria tablets, is this correct and if so, when do we have to start taking them and for how long?"

Does anyone know if your reimbursements are taxable?

I know with my full time job they are not as it's purely a reimbursement to me of things I've purchased/spent on behalf of the company. However, with MS they could argue that as we get to keep/eat the things we're being reimbursed for that we had a a benefit from it.

I did look but couldn't see it mentioned anywhere in the thread.

Re-imbursements are not taxable. You have to buy the item as part of job so it's an essential work expense that you are being refunded for.

Often you might not have bought that item anyway. Some of the meals I've gone out for are to places I wouldn't have normally eaten. Sometimes I have to buy things that are of no use to me, like cat toys (no cat!) and baby food (no baby!), so I've given them away to friends who can use them.
Here I go again on my own....

    Hiya

After lurking on here a couple of weeks ago, I registered with grass routes and then forgot about of them. Then I saw two emails and I tried registering for the one and was accepted. It is for a bank on in a couple of weeks.

However, they phoned and asked if I could do a diy store and I said yes, but when I read the brief I have to say that we are thinking about putting in a new workshop ? A Kitchen yes, a bathroom yes (need both anyway) but a workshop ? How can I phrase myself so that I don't sound totally fake ?

Please please please, any help would be much appreciated.

Say your partner is a self-employed carpenter and needs to house his/her machinery somewhere secure....

    Does that help...?

Your first mystery shop will be a little bit scary but once you get into it you will be fine!

    Thanks for that ...

but if partner is a carpenter, then why would I be going to an expensive diy ?

Surely he would be able to do it all himself and go direct to trade ?

Sorry but I am deparate to not stand out !

OK - you are a self-employed ceramics artist....and need a workshop for your potter's wheel! Maybe I am just a good liar!
