Pretty sure my Asda take them.
Hi. Thank you. I rang them and got a snotty response from someone on customer services, then I found a post on MSE from someone who had received an e.mail regarding manufacturers coupons from Mr As customer relations. So armed with new information I rang back and spoke to someone different. She was really nice but said the same thing so I told her about the e.mail and she said she'd find out-the upshot of this is they do take manufacturers coupons if you buy the product-If I go in with my receipt they will give me some vouchers off my shopping : )

Well done,I got a 10.00 voucher off them when some snotty CS told me they no longer give out the 2.00 gift card for overcharging
when I had a email to say they do, so got the 10.00 ad my 2.00 card. That will teach them.

I just made the cheese and onion plate pie from the recipe thread (I think). Gorgeous! Like the nicest cheese and onion pastie in a way. I used a defrosted old block of puff pastry from the freezer, 85g of cheese and 1 onion. Have splitit into 3 portions rather than 4 as I was hungry and decided to have 1 1/2 portions for tea with veg and gravy

Whoever put the recipe up in the first place - thank you so much. I felt really apprehensive about what it would turn out like and if I would like it. Why on earth was I worried about it? It was lovely and very tasty. I'll definitely be having that again!

97p today on 2 tins of custard, tin of peach slices and tin of pineapple chunks as I continue to go retro with the puddings over the next couple of weeks

Have been hmmming and hawing about my grocery finances and i really want to get a plan in place for the beginning of 2013.

I think what would work best for us would be to have an annual grocery budget, so while i will mention this on the January 2013 GC thread (when it comes around), i would like to go for an annual rather than a weekly Or monthly GC budget as i usaed to do.

I'm hoping i am overbudgetting, but i may well not be. At £50 per week, i hope to spend no more than £2,600 for the whole of our groceries, for three adult appetites and a large dog, for the whole of 2013.

This will, as mentioned, include pet food and also toiletries and cleaning products/household products.

There, now i've written it, i am beginning to feel i can commit to it :rotfl:

Until the new budget kicks in i will try to continue keeping my grocery spends as low as i can.

Went to Mr T's on Wednesday for milk and came out £17.83 poorer, lol, then went to A1d1 today and spent £16.88, but still within the budget for this month. Out of the freezer, I have used up some swede, leeks, oven chips (I know, not MSE, but handy for when I have a CBA day, lol!), a portion of veg soup, 3 eggs, 8 bread rolls, 2 portions of minced beef, some sausages, the last 4 sprouts from last Xmas (?) and some peas.

    Hi everyone,

Welcome Hurdler - I have added you to the list on pg 1.

May have to rethink my budget for the remainder of the month. We will be having an extra mouth to feed as of Tuesday evening as my DNephew is coming to stay 'for a while'. My DSis and him have come to blows and she thinks it would be best to put some distance between them. He's a lovely lad (17), but has no job, no friends to speak of and in his words "nothing going for him". It just makes me want to cry my eyes out. I still remember the beautiful blond, blue-eyed boy at our wedding all those years ago... Sorry for bringing the thread down, but I just needed to offload :o

Thanks for all the tips re baby wipes. I have started marking her name with big marker pen, but hasn't done the trick. I feel petty chasing up, but its really annoying, especially happening twice in as many weeks. When things have gone missing in the past (hair clips & socks) they always make me feel like its just part and parcel of nursery life.

Anyway onto today's wasteful moan, OH said he was going to clean the kitchen, a whole can of oven cleaner and half a bottle of washing up liquid later I return to the kitchen to find the oven not been touched and half the washing up still sitting there!

Haven't fogotten to add my spends from Friday, just need to find the receipt ...

(((hugs))) hun, maybe he just needs to 'find himself' I've had this conversation with one of mine-I think he's probably lacking in self confidence.

Thanks tattycath, and yes you're right, he has no self-esteem whatsoever. His Dad left when he was 6 - only moved up the road but hasn't bothered to be in touch over the last 11 years. I think this has a lot to do with it all. Just hope staying with us for a bit will help and not make him feel even more rejected :(
