Any more news about UKCPS finally stopping this discrimination & harassment?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Haven't heard anything from UKCPS but have been assured by the owners of the land that the matter has been dropped. :T

Ok so the owners of the land have confirmed in writing or via email they do not wish this matter to proceed, if ukcps continue to harass you then sue them and the landowner, as ultimately they are liable for the actions of their agents, I suspect that ukcps will lose the contract at the very minimum.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Bottom line: the demand is NOT payable. It is a scam as is every document issued by private parking companies.

First, sit tight, don't write to them, don't move an inch. Let them chase like rats by first buying keeper details from the DVLA, and then just see if their threatogram mentions Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Bill. If so, we'll get you to write to UKPC rejecting the demand, then when they "turn down your rejection", you do the same with POPLA as this will cost UKPC £32, and then you ignore everything from everyone except the court. if you go to court, it will be to win hands down, hence the reason nobody will sue you.

Hi this has happened to me....I have stupidly appealed, only finding this on the forum afterwards Duh! UKCPS have rejected my appeal and I have written to the store I shopped at and the company who manage the trading estate, the head office of the store told me they had spoken to the management company who were confident the charge would be scrapped. This all happened in the heavy snow at the end of January, in the dark, on a car park that is 'free' otherwise. I never had any penalty notice on my screen and all only came to light 3 weeks ago when a letter dropped onto my doormat demanding £100 as I had failed to pay the £60 charge levied within a certain time frame. I have asked for photographic evidence...none yet forwarded and in the rejected appeal in which I requested POPLA details, they just talk about at some future point they will issue me with the details, so no reference number there then. To be honest, I'm not to sort to ignore letters and I know I will get shouted at for this byforum members, but I'm PANICKING NOW!!!! They have quoted the Schedule 4 'protection of freedoms Act 2012 ' at me. Help. :o

This looks like a very significantly different situation to the OP's and many of the other contributors - You really need to start your own thread to avoid confusing things more.

Also, there is no such thing as "photographic evidence" in this kind of situation and like the rest of their threats, its only a tool to try and scare you into accepting their scam - So stop the panic and start ignoring them, or do POPLA, then ignore if you are refused - plenty up to date threads on how to do that. :)

Thanks Pogofish..I have written to them asking for the POPLA stuff and had an email from the head of the manangement company telling me not to write to anyone but him (ie not the restaurant owners) as only he can intervene. He tells me he has seen the 'photographic evidence' of both the infringement and the fact the ticket was posted on my windscreen. I have sent an email re the Equality act and discrimination etc etc, but feeling panicky. Didnt want to start another thread, but if you think I should?
    Thanks again

Yes - good you did - you will get clearer, better advice for your specific situation. :)
  • Hi Guys,
I got the this PCN last month for leaving the car in a retail parks car park just to see my wife at the nursery across the road and to ask her what she needs from the shops in that retail park as her phone battery exhausted.

As advised in thisforum I ignored their initial PCN and now got the Notice To Keeper (NTK) asking for £100 payment.

Could the experts advise me, how it will go further and what should I prepare on my side to fight back?

    Thanks in advance.

Start a new thread for individual advice. We work on a one person'r problem per thread to avoid confusion

When you do post, give date of PCN and NtK and confirm PPC.

What additional information do you need that isn't on the other threads on this page?

Oh - and if you have read threads started in the last 6 months, you would have seen that the overwhelming advice was NOT to ignore, except in Scotland or a couple of limp-wristed PPCs.
