    Seconded great post C-M.

I can vouch for the fact UKCPS don't like it when you involve the landlords and the owners in any action.;)

They were kicked off one particular car park by a landlord for "aggressive ticketing and harassment" a couple of years ago.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    agree totally with coupon mad

Do exactly as she suggests, that will shut old Haswell

I wonder if Haswell went to the same famous Solihull Law School As Perky
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
  • Email has been sent to UKCPS, Dan and Adam. Thank goodness it's half term so I have time to do it. Thanks again for your help everyone particularly Coupon-mad.
  • Result!!!!!! Had the following email this morning from the manager of the car park
'I have excellent news, UKCPS have confirmed (in writing) that they will cancel this parking charge. Please do let me know if you hear from them again, and we will follow this up on your behalf.
I trust that you will still feel happy shopping at the park, and please don't hesitate to contact me again if there is anything else I can do to help.'
Justice at last. I know I didn't display my mother's badge correctly but £60 is a lot for a one small mistake! Thank you all for your support and lets keep fighting these people. I will certainly be informing my family and friends.

Well done on this, really pleased for you :)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Yay, knew they would when you involved the Management of the car park and mentioned suing them for damages!

Your success could work for ANY disabled person in ANY car park who gets a fake PCN. It doesn't even take much extra effort if appealing by email, to do a bit of digging for an email addy to copy in the Managers of the car park or Tesco etc.

And clearly heading it up 'Disability Discrimination by parking agents at xxxx car Park - this email acts as a Notice Before Action to all recipients'. Not 'appeal' or anything else wishy-washy!

Let's do this again - we even have another thread now with a copy of the opinion of the EHRC which agrees with us (of course they do, it's not difficult to interpret a simple thing like who is disabled when there's a clear 'definition of disability' written into the law and there's no 'Badge' required).

I think our fightback campaign on here and on pepipoo, against any private parking tickets, has gone up a couple of gears this year. This is 100% better than ignoring the scam and draws the retailers/owners attention to the disability discrimination without even needing to do a separate complaint.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Yes I think they were panicking when they saw the heading of my email and they resolved it very quickly! Well worth recommending to another poor soul who gets caught in this way.
