Doesnt o2's package already beat skys? All companys will offer fibre, as most is resold bt.

How can O2 beat Sky?

O2 don't offer fibre so there is no competition.

they wont be that far behind, well worth the wait
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

It won't be until 2013 and I can't see them offering a truly unlimited service since they already have a traffic management policy on current packages.

Personally, O2 have been left behind by Sky due to Sky not only offering a good fibre product but also due to Sky letting you use your Internet any way you like without having to adhere to a traffic management policy.

I can't see O2's fibre product being any different to Sky's fibre product seeing as it is all BT Wholesale Fibre.

If you really want fast broadband go with whoever gets in there first.

Ordered on 14/4;
Router on the way 23/4;
BB went live 30/4.

When I spoke to O2 about their Fibre product they said it won't be until 2013 at the earliest and they couldn't even say when in 2013. I'm certainly glad I made the jump.

Personally, I can't see them being as competitive as Sky with pricing and also Sky offer the service as truly unlimited and no FUP.

You don't need a mac code from O2 is that right? At what what did you inform O2?

Sorry so many questions
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

Unfortunately you are incorrect - they DO have a FUP (although they call it AUP).

AUP and FUP are completely different. AFAIK, every internet provider has a AUP policy of some sort but Sky do not have a FUP.

Fair Usage Policy is to do with how much you use and includes traffic management.

Sky's Acceptable Usage Policy talks about using your internet illegally etc. Have a look at a brief description I have included below.

ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Irrespective of which Product you have subscribed to, our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") will apply to you and those who you allow to use Sky Broadband.

If you have any queries about our AUP, you can contact us by emailing abuse@sky.com.

Don't use Sky Broadband illegally!

Sky Broadband and Sky's networks may only be used for lawful purposes in accordance with all laws, statutes and regulations in force from time to time in the United Kingdom ("Laws").

Do not violate anyone's systems or network security

You must not use Sky Broadband to violate Sky's networks' security or any third party's system or network security by any method.

Messages

You must not send Messages to anyone who does not wish to receive them. We acknowledge that email and instant messaging are informal methods of communication however you must refrain from sending Messages to another user after receiving a request to stop.

World Wide Web and surfing the net

You will be solely responsible for your use of the internet and any web pages owned and/or operated by you that you connect to Sky's networks using Sky Broadband. You must not use world wide web pages within or outside Sky's networks to violate any part of this AUP or to disrupt or attempt to disrupt another internet user's internet experience.

Unfortunately, you are incorrect.

I would still obtain a MAC code from O2 as this will tell them that you are leaving but I never needed to use my MAC code and I have seen a number of people not needing them either.

Were sky not the company that sent all peoples data that were downloading to the companys who they were pirating?
