Hi there
Currently with O2 BB in one of their original LLU packages but want to go to Sky Unlimited Fibre.
Does anyone know if there will be any downtime moving 1 from O2 to Sky and 2, whether moving from a LLU provider to a Fibre provider ?
Thank you. :-)

yeah wont be true fibre, only fibre to the cab expect max 22mbDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

from the exchange to the cabinet its fibre, from the green cabinet in the road your going via copper.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Rather than telling you it is not true fibre etc I will answer your questions as I moved from O2 to Sky fibre.
Downtime will depend on when the engineer comes to install as Sky will transfer your phone line over in the morning which will not work with O2 broadband. I had no Internet for the whole morning but once dinner time came the engineer turned up and everything was done within an hour (had to move master socket for me).0 -

My point is o2 is good value and quick, I would wait as o2 will be rolling their own out.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Do you have any info on when this might happen or are you just assuming they will go fibre in the near future ?
I reckon there will be time to migrate from O2 and be out of contract again with the new provider before O2 get a fibre product out.0 -

Ordered on 14/4;
Router on the way 23/4;
BB went live 30/4.
When I spoke to O2 about their Fibre product they said it won't be until 2013 at the earliest and they couldn't even say when in 2013. I'm certainly glad I made the jump.
Personally, I can't see them being as competitive as Sky with pricing and also Sky offer the service as truly unlimited and no FUP.0 -

Doesnt o2's package already beat skys? All companys will offer fibre, as most is resold bt.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
