Morning all
twofishes - sending a hug to you. Have you spoken to your uni student service, they may have a hardship fund you can access?
RR - glad your parents enjoyed
I had a lovely lie-in til almost 9am, which is almost unheard of for megood nights sleep.
Todays plans include food shop and batch cooking, will also make a veggie roast dinner for tea. Also need to do some NVQ work as my assessor is coming tomorrow. I'm meant to have time to do the work in work but this just hasn't happened due to the move . I also want to go for a walk, I've not been able to jog for 3wks due to vertigo and still feel a bit wobbly so will just walk my route instead.
Just spoke to my friend in New Zealand, she was in tears because her beloved horse Alphie died yesterdayit was due to a stupid mistake by a new person at the stables he lived in
. She had him since he was young, and when she started to travel she donated him to Riding for the Disabled charity in her town, so he was used to help many hundreds of disabled children have some joy in their lives. She would help out once a month with them. I met Alphie on both my trips there, and he was such a good natured horse.
OS wise - WM is on and sun is shining so will put it out on whirly, may see if I can rustle up a 2nd load too. Dishes to wash, batch cooking to do, will bake a cake too.
Have a good day all

Morning all, dull but dry here today, was hoping for a bit of sun to dry washing. Watched 'The Help' on DVD last night with DD, I read the book ages ago and the film was really good. Should do chores today but not feeling very well and as I'm off next week I think I'll have a lazy day. Hugs to all in need, twofishes I think nmlc 's suggestions are good, surely uni has some kind of provision for cases like yours, hope you get it sorted. Molly glad you're feeling better today. catsmith hope DH is ok . Have a good Sunday all, we're having roast chicken but I think the menfolk may cook it.:)
BB glad maud is doing well.£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Twofishes- I agree with the previous poster, speak to your uni finance services, they should be able to help you out. I finished uni this year, and got quite a bit of financial help from them in times of need, so its worth trying. Sending you hugs.x.
Today is looking grey and overcast again. I was hoping to get the washing out on the line, as i did yesterday, but it doesn't look hopeful.
I will be trying to keep the heating off, as its not too chilly here today0 -
Morning All
Very foggy this morning, has set me off wheezing so I have nebulised and will not do anything to strenuous today. Just finished taking a course of steroids, I don't want to take any more if I can help it because I have put on 8lbs from the last lot
Washing didn't dry very well on the line yesterday so it is on airers and nearly dry. I still have the bedding to do, so I will do that tomorrow and DH can take me up to the launderette and I will put the lot in the tumble dryer. he has then got to go and get a couple of new tyres on the car, better safe than sorry with the weather set to turn by the end of next week.
Boycie goes home tonightHe has been great company, I will miss him under foot.
bargainbird hopefully Maude is starting to turn the corner bless her x
twofishes (((Hugs))) Most Uni's have a hardship fund have a word with your advisor x
Dinner tonight is roast pork etc
Oh well I am going to put the airers out on the patio and see if the washing from yesterday will finish drying

Morning all,
Twofishes, so sad to hear of your predicament. I'll go along with the other posters comments. Maybe you will be legible for a Bursary Fund.
Yesterday was all about building bridges in my household. I hope its not been in vain.
Hubby was in pain all yesterday from mauling with my new washer. Its got a 9kg wash load.... unfortunately that means twice as much concrete in the thing to keep it balanced. All these settings! Just give me adjustable time and and adjustable temperature dial. The rest are all useless to me.
We ate our evening meal at 9 oclock again. Wheres my routine gone?
Plans for today. Well i have them but the way my weekend has stretched out i am expecting them to change.
Dogs got me up 3 times last night. At 1.30, 3.30 and 5. I think i'll be a walking zombie today.
Still smiling though.:D

Morning all,
Just demolished poached eggs and bacon. Dh always does Sunday breakfast it was lovely.
Yesterday got all the cleaning done including cleaning all the front windows inside and out and sweeping the path, clearing away the bedding plants and washing the garage:eek:
Today we will concentrate on the back. DS is paying ds3 to creosote the fence. It's better than just giving him money when he asks at least this way he has worked for it. We want to plant some tulip bulbs, my favourite flower and generally tidy up.
I enjoyed strictly last night. I enjoy looking at the costumes, the music everything. Unmissable in our house, even dh watches and he normally never watches tv. Then we snuggled up and watched a film.
Ds3 is off to watch his friends band tonight and I plan on watching Downton, it was so sad last week, made me cry.
Two fishes hugs Hun, try the hardship fund at Uni as others have said
BB hope you feel better soon, I've given up drying outside, it just ends up colder no dryer, so the airer from now on
Bargainbird glad maude is doing better (I've used jiffy lemon before)
FB I'm going to walk today as well, as long as your out moving that's the main
Had a really scary dream about the interview last night. Imtrying to stay calm. It's not helping that I know the interview panel is the assistant and deputy principle:(
Anyway best get on, have a good Sunday all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all
I, like a mental person, didn't go to sleep until gone 2 last night. I was coughing and wheezing away but I think if I had calmed down and put my mind to it properly I should have been able to get to sleep earlier than that. I am paying for it now but I got up at 9 and will stay up so hopefully I'll sleep tonight. Had a proper 'sick day' yesterday, spent most of it in bed apart from a couple of hours on the sofa for a change of scenery! Isn't there a lot of rubbish on TV at the weekend?! I watch hardly any TV and usually none at the weekend so that was an eye opener.
In OS fashion I made myself a HM pizza last night, ignoring the carefully selected WeightWatchers ready meal. Doh! So bad for the diet. I also spent some of my time in bed going through all my Christmas recipe books and figuring out my Christmas cooking. I need to find a good chutney recipe but none of the ones in my books appeal to me...which is odd as I usually make a really nice one but I can't remember which one it is and I swear it isn't one of the ones in my books! Eek! So, does anyone have a nice basic chutney recipe that will work well over Christmas with cheese, cold meats, sausage rolls etc? thanks!
Hope everyone is ok and having a nice weekend.
To the person struggling with student finance (sorry, can't seem to go back to the thread to see your name), my heart goes out to you. My sister is in a similar position although it's her final year of her medical degree so she gets no student finance anymore but does get a pittance from the NHS, but this seems to be a long time coming. Luckily she knew she would be mainly self supporting in her final two year so she has saved and saved like a maniac since she started working at 14 (she is the most frugal person I have ever met) and as far as I know has about £7000 saved, although she doesn't want to touch it even though this is exactly what it was meant to be for! Sorry, went off on a tangent there, this isn't helping you. As others have said, definitely get in touch with student support at your uni tomorrow. They should be able to access crisis loans to get you through. Good luck.0 -
morning all!
very damp and foggy here! which is a right pain as I've the biggest pile of laundry I've ever had that needs doing!
Busy busy busy today. Catching up from our few days away, grocery shopping needed plus I'm off to a 65th party at lunchtime.
Havent had chance to catch up with you all yet, hope to read the thread later
Have a lovely day all xDo what you love :happyhear0
