Pompous owner of a spar shop

I went into a Spar shop in Westbourne near Bournemouth today to see if they had a paper that i like to read (The Morning Star) The reason why i asked if they had the paper in, was that they had it a few weeks ago when the TUC were in Bournemouth. However they didnt and he made very Toffee-Nosed comments about the paper. I, being the bigger man, didnt say anything just pai for my papers and walked off. I've just written a complaint letter and posted it to the spar headquarters. I have put in the letter that i appreciate that we may both have different political views and read different newspapers doesnt mean he can bring comments like that into a professional workplace. Hopefuly I might get a decent response.

Bit of a fuss over not much really. I just wouldn't go there again.
  • I'd tell him to !!!!!! off, but then again, I do work in a Spar and we tell the boss that all the time...

What exactly do you expect Spar to do? They are basically just a buying and branding group, they don't own the stores or control how they are run. If you do get a response it will probably just be a generic 'sorry you weren't happy' letter.
  • Are you sure it really was a Spar? There's a seedy newsagent in Westbourne calling themselves "Star" but using the same colours & logo!
