I tried to cancel and they attempted to take the 149 payment from my bank account, which I was able to successfully redeem. I have now received an email (attached)
Can they affect my credit score? I see positive posts that they cant but I am worried it will? Does anyone have confirmation that they cant affect it?
'We recently informed you that the payment for your
be2 Premium 6 months account
bought on 13/09/2013
was either accidentally or purposely
refunded on 24/10/2013
We asked you to pay the outstanding amount of 149.94 GBP within 30 days.
Our records show that you have not made the payment or you have made payment and initiated a second refund.
As there is a valid contract between you and be2 we will now take legal measures and hand your case to our debt collection agency. You will be contacted shortly.
We are also prepared to take further legal actions in case your payment obligations are not promptly met. This action will affect your credit score.
Sincerely,
Your be2 team

Just an idea, troubled77 posted their address in Luxembourg, why don't we all send them lots of junk mail in unstamped envelopes? Make sure your name and address is not there.

I am amazed that there are no regulations in place to stop this type of con. The internet is full of complaints referring to this scam by this company, yet they have been getting away with it for years!
Their business model is based on having cash out of unsuspecting, single people, who thing they are dealing with a reputable agency. It has operations are in several countries - they must make a mint out people who enter their site in good faith and make their site almost impossible to cancel from. Ending up with BE2 using intimidation, bullying and harassment.0 -
Glad I've read the comments on here, I have a slight variation on the problems with this site, I signed up for a months trial, didn't really use the site, and then ignored all the emails from be2 which I presumed were trying to get me to sign up again.
Turns out my payment didn't go through, am now getting emails from their solicitors demanding 249.17 euros.
As I haven't paid for what I did agree too, and am still a member(will be sending my fax) not sure how worried I should be?0 -

Not sure I can say how worried you should be... I guess it depends on what sort of problem losing €249.47 would cause.0 -
Bizarre, don't know how they are getting away with it - they sound soo dodgy.
They've even got a Wiki entry!

Can't believe I have been stupid enough to have been caught by this company, two minutes on google would have saved me so much time and money! I realised fairly quickly after I joined that the site was a complete con, there were no genuine matches on there, I'm petty sure 90% of the profiles were fake.
I bit the bullet and paid for the first six months, my bad, expensive mistake but I had signed up. I then faxed them my cancellation form, cancelled the payments with my bank and thought no more of it. This was over six months ago.
This week I received a letter from Intrum Justitia demanding payment of E107.65.
Having today read this thread plus a couple of other sites about the amazing scam that is BE2 I have sent BE2 an email, re-iterating that I cancelled last year, I re-attached the cancellation form and have stated that I will not pay. Unfortunately I no longer have proof I sent the fax, I thought this was long over and done with.
I have no intention of paying Intum Justitia a penny, I would love to see them prove this debt in court but I am sure they will never go that far. I would appreciate some advice please, do I contact them and tell them or just ignore??
Thanks (from a single muppet)

Did Be2 acknowledge your fax and confirm that your account had been cancelled? I cancelled early last year and received this in response:
Thank you for your message.
We have received your cancellation and we can confirm that your Premium Membership will expire on 26.02.2013 and you will not be billed again after this date.
I have kept the email in case of any future threats, as it appears that Be2 will use any means possible to try to get money from us.

My mum is having the same situation, she has been contacted by intrum justita twice about the outstanding amount of £174.24 and are threatening to take her to court. She has contacted the police and they gave her an number from Action Fraud, she has spoken to them on the phone twice and she wonders why be2 get away with it,the lady on the phone said its because nobody reports it to them. So I would recommend phoning them up and report it to them. Here is the website actionfraud.police.uk. Tel is 0300 123 2040
I haven't heard from them a year after the court threat, I have kept all the correspondence just in case.
I think the best advice ,if you know you followed the T&C about cancelling,is to never contact them at all.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
I have just received this email dated 2/4/14 and don't know what to do, as this has been ongoing since July 2013! I could not login to cancel my subscription sent various emails at their request but still they are harassing me. What do I do?
Dear Be2 user,
We are writing to inform you that we have now applied to the district court with jurisdiction for you to obtain the instrument permitting enforcement against you in the automated order to pay and enforcement order proceedings.
As soon as we have received the instrument permitting enforcement we shall forward it to the bailiff with jurisdiction for you.
The only way you can still avert this measure is by paying 93,70 EUR immediately.
Yours sincerely,
