Hi,
Has anyone got calls from Fredrickson International as a result of the Be2 scam?
I cancelled my membership nearly two years ago and then out of the blue a couple of months ago got an email to say that I hadn't cancelled properly and owed two years worth of membership fees. I kept the fax I was sent when I cancelled my membership but have no proof that I sent it. I never thought I'd need it.
I have responded a few times to the solicitor (Auer Witte Thiel) copying them the fax that I kept but they've obviously escalated it -Fredrickson are a debt collection company. Please could somebody give me some advice about how to deal with this? Now really very worried...0 -
DO NOT JOIN!!!
Absolute scam trying to con money out of me and it would seem a whole host of others -- thanks for all the posts as can see this crappy 'business' for what it is and exactly how to deal with it -- should be shut down!! As for meeting someone -- far easier to get out more!!0 -
interesting that it's a London number - where did you find this please - i've only seen mention of somewhere in Luxembourg, although no full postal address of course!0

After going round in circles with the cancellation process and sending more and more irate messages to customer services, I finally received this:
If you wish to cancel your membership so you are not billed in the future,
Here are step by step instructions to follow to get to the Online cancellation Form.
My Profile > settings > Premium Membership view/Change > “here to continue” > “here for more information” > Premium Membership and Payment > Payment > How can I end Automatic renewal > End premium membership > Continue.
There are three ways to send your signed cancellation form to us:
as a fax to: +44 207 7859384
as a signed email attachment.
as a letter (suggest registering) to: be2 S.Ã .r.l. - 291, route d'Arlon - L-1150 Luxembourg
IMPORTANT!
We need to receive the completed cancellation at least 7 days before your renewal date or you will be renewed for a further period. (You will find the date of the next extension in your profile under “My profile”, “Settings“ , “Premium Membership“ , “View/Change”).
I followed these instructions and received this in response:
Thank you for your message.
We have received your cancellation and we can confirm that your Premium Membership will expire on 26.02.2013 and you will not be billed again after this date.
Please note that your profile will remain active even after the cancellation. If you wish to delete or deactivate your profile, please go to "My profile", “Settings” and then to "Profile Status”, where you have the option to delete the profile.
Please feel free to contact us again with any comments, questions or feedback. Thank you for using be2.
We would like to get your feedback. Please click on the link below to answer us some short questions regarding our service:
Needless to say, I still cancelled the continuous payment authority with my bank and left some choice feedback!! :mad:0 -
Hi
Yep I got a letter this morning from Intrum Justitia requesting a payment of EUR 176.00. I did call them, but then smelt a rat. I have had no emails or any correspondence from Be2 directly. I guess I ignore this letter and see what happens.0 -
Hi,
I was informed by my bank that this lot took £149.99 from my account, luckily, they suspected it to be fraud and stop the payment. I have since received numerous threatening emails from this company. Despite trying to phone them (the phone rings once and then silence), emails are responded to with just an automated response. Can anyone recommend what else I can do as it is very frustrating and frightening to be dealing with this?
Thanks0 -

Did you cancel your membership in accordance with the terms and conditions? If you received confirmation (see my earlier post), then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If not, there is lots of information here: http://lucieanne.hubpages.com/hub/Be2-dating-is-a-scam-Beware0 -
My mum is having the same situation, she has been contacted by intrum justita twice about the outstanding amount of £174.24 and are threatening to take her to court. She has contacted the police and they gave her an number from Action Fraud, she has spoken to them on the phone twice and she wonders why be2 get away with it,the lady on the phone said its because nobody reports it to them. So I would recommend phoning them up and report it to them. Here is the website actionfraud.police.uk. Tel is 0300 123 20400

I'm getting these threats as well. I cancelled well within the time but they say I didn't do it correctly.
I followed all the steps on the site to cancel and it takes around in circles so you never can!
I Have replied with copies of all the emails I sent cancelling my membership and they STILL are harassing me.
I'm considering small claims court to stop them, could I do that?0
