I still think a lot of you are going into this too far.
All this (i cant remember the word but it means the general public getting revenge) isnt going to change or help anything.
I appreciate that some of you havent got the hampers and it may have messed your Xmas up (As is said earlier i tried to make contact with him to give my offer to deliver them) but this isnt going to change anything.
Im sure when the dust settles it can all be sorted out and even that is not going to change the damage which has been caused i appreciate.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I'm fairly sure most people are more concerned with getting their money back than getting some sort of revenge.0 -
I can confirm that from a phone call I had in August with him he confirmed he was formerly from the Bury area of Manchester but moved to Norfolk to be closer to his in laws.
That's novel then, a Tottenham fan who comes from Manchester. It's usually Manchester United fans who come from London .0 -

not sure whether this has previously been mentioned in the thread...(it's quite long now isn't it!) but can anyone point me as to how to file a claim for wrong hampers esp when it was paid via the paypal portal but using a credit card. the 45 day period if it applies is due to run out over the new year break and i just want to sort it. i am now afraid whether the company will survive and would like at least a partial refund.0

I'm sorry but I feel sorry for the bloke, we all make mistakes and I really believe he never meant any of this to happen.
He would have been able to cope if it had just been good offers on his website, but so many people like myself saw the deals on here and took up the offers. ( he just could not cope with the demand)
I've not received any of my hampers but I've not let it ruin my Xmas, but I reckon his xmas has been ruined, the stress and pressure he has had.
Sorry again if people think I'm wrong but I just feel sad about the whole situation.Have lots more ‘Pending’
But total money I’ve received from Cashback Sites by performing 'Daily Clicks' is ;
APRIL 2007 - JAN 2008 = £2,800:money:0 -
thanks ppc guy. i tried the link but it asks me to sign into the paypal account when in fact i merely used my credit card to pay without creating an account.ZZybee,

I can't help feeling that while we are all understandably very angry, we have started the ball rolling by flagging issues to trading standards and by alerting the media.
I still feel that this whole fiasco arose out of stupidity rather than malice or intent to obtain money and defraud.
It doesn't help us, or make us any less angry or entitled to recompense but I think he has been monumentally stupid rather than intending to make off with our money.
His face is known, his name is known, the press are aware of him and his company.....what he does next is most important.
He said early on that his plans were for a holiday in jan ( probably why they are closed til then)......thinking logically as a parent....he would be unlikely to cancel his family's holiday based on upset customers (yes some people would......equally as many others would not make their kids lose out for their stupidity).
He may yet reimburse, respond to emails and try to resolve issues......or he may try to bury his head in the sand and sing lalalalala it's not happening the way he did in December.....we have to wait and see which tack he takes.
The charitable part of me thinks he is just an ordinary bloke who freaked and got scared, stressed and didn't deal with what was happening appropriately........
I say this as someone who had 19 people to apologise to over today and tomorrow and who had to improvise a bit with what's in my cupboards for tomorrow.
I have to say....I'm actually quite miffed at uk mail....who told me on the 20th they had a delivery that would be delivered between 8 and 6 on the 22nd, and it has shown as delayed since then. Spoke to them today and there was no intention of delivering it before the 27th/28thas it's on a 72 hr delivery:mad:........so why lie and say it would be delivered on the 22nd!
I await the 27th with interest.
I know it's not easy to do but I am going to spend the rest of the festive season not thinking about hampers.........and appreciating what I am lucky enough to have which is my family with me tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow filled with love and no hamper stress:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:0 -

I agree to some extent. But he got greedy. He shouldn't have taken on so many orders, and when he was starting to struggle, he should have dealt with the issues in a more professional manner. I think it's the way he's handled the problems that has got most people's backs up. However, making threats towards him is unacceptable. I don't think he's a conman. I think he's just a crap businessman.0
