The Norfolk hamper company thread

I have been reading this and following. I ordered 30 hampers to give to all my employees. I run a small business providing residential care to kids who have had real challneges in their lives. The job can be really hard and I absolutely appreciate the hard work and commitment my team give to me and the kids we care for.
I ordered 30 hampers with most of them being delivered to individual addresses. Neil only called me a couple of weeks back to get the payment for all the extra deliveries. So not only have I paid for 30 hampers but also another £120 on top for delivery to individual houses.
If I run my business like this then it would directly effect kids and their lives and futures, I guess what Neil is struggling to grasp is his business directly effects people and the spirit of giving at Christmas.
I am wholeheartly disapooitned and only used NHC to support a small business as usually I use bigger places.
I spoke with UK Mail and nothing is out for delivery for anyone from here.
Who know what will happen next but I for one need to sort out a Christmas gift and thank you for all my people.
Hope you all have a good Christmas and a bright start to 2013.
I'm really sorry to hear this. Makes my £80 for a few presents for family seem like a small drop in the ocean now. I hope you get something sorted, and I hope you get your money back.
Kind of blows holes in some people's theory on here though that everyone would get sorted today, and it was all UK Mail's fault.0 -
Mine arrived today! Jeez. Was really surprised. Wish all yours did as well0

I have received my delivery, like most others I was expecting 2 Christmas hampers, I received a just add cheese one which I am so impressed with, and also a galaxy one, which isn't probably worth any thing near £30 but its better than nothing, a cute little basket which I will reuse.
If I can figure out how, I will post pictures for you.
I hope others receive theirs today too xx0 -
Nothing for me either from UK Mail today so even if it turns up sometime in the future then I will refuse them.
Liar and a thief but I'm not going to let him get away with it that easy and will be doing everything possible to get my money back even if it means driving 250 miles round trip to Norfolk and I will take my police officer husband so he won't have to bother calling them!!!
Beyond furious now but merry Xmas everyone :beer:0 -

Phoned UKMail, no delivery for me today.
I've only e-mailed Neil twice, and done so very politely too. First one was ignored. Second one elicited the auto-return e-mail from him.
Have replaced two that were needed for presents before now, would be giving two more today (which I have been unable to replace), and another would make up my 5 (to be delivered first week in Dec). This was for ourselves and was to be our Christmas goodies, cake, pud, mince pies etc. I won't be buying those to replace, we'll just be without.
I really hope some of us (would be lovely to say ALL of us) receive something today.
Tomorrow we will have no hope of deliveries so maybe we will be able to put this saga to bed for the day, and enjoy Christmas Day with who and what we have.
Happy Christmas x0 -
Im not going to check with UKMail today, if anyone knocks with a delivery, I am going to refuse it.
I went out with the maddening crowds on sat and purchased god knows how many kids selection boxes for my colleagues at work, small consolation prize for em, but was all I could do
Dont need £250 worth of hampers now, as I would need blumming rudolph himself to get them where they are supposed to be nowso just given up.
Am working tomorrow, so trying to have today without any stress and worries, and trying to get into the xmas spirit, (well will do later in the day, once ive cracked open a bottle lol!!)
This will continue for months, especially after reading his previous exploits with refunds and delaying payments etc, so I think we can all rest assured that our group to unite will hold strong, and we will prevail in the end.
I hope that we can all put this aside for tomorrow, and try and have a great xmas. We will not forget, and never forgive our ruined presents etc, but sending our love to our friends and family, along with a huge apology will have to suffice this year

Hey all,
I really hope those that are waiting have a miracle today and receive them and that they are what you expect as so many of them seem to be falling short of what was advertised.
As i've said before for the money I paid i'm happy but when looking at what a few others have received and yes I noticed too those closer it seems very unfair that for the same deals customers that live further away are getting crappier and crappier hampers in comparison to those that live closer.
Can I ask what people who had the 12 + 12 deal received for their "Fiery Chilli" as mine had NOT A THING that was advertised in it!! and the Christmas one was pretty dismal especially compared to some others i've seen on here. Also a couple of my hampers were pretty bashed up one was even stained (??) and don't seem very good quality and like they will last.
For those of you that have done the 12 + 12 and received one or two or even more of your hampers are you putting your trust in the company to receive the rest ( and more importantly AS DESCRIBED AND ADVERTISED?) or will you be putting in a claim? I was thinking of emailing to request specific hampers for my January ones and if he doesn't reply to then raise a claim?
I've very concerned as I really can't afford to lose the £115 I paid outright and I don't want this stress every month and putting the stress on my nan who usually doesn't mind waiting in for a delivery but this was just appalling.
Due to the time of year I was willing to give him the benefit of the my doubt but after seeing so many peoples bad experiences and the lies that have been told to many I really don't have much faith that the other hampers will arrive throughout the year. So on what grounds could I do a claim on? Not on time? Not as advertised? No communication? ( like others I contacted so many times to no avail?) yet other people we being messaged back.
I hope I don't sound ungrateful when there's many people that are still waiting for their hampers.
Cheers MazA lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."0 -
Was going to let it lie but couldn't resist ringing Paul Moseley at Radio Norfolk! He's passing my name and number on to a colleague who's covering the story for local TV (because I am fairly local) who may or may not ring to speak to me!
Will do my best for you all (and will post back) if they do!! :j0 -
