  • I've received 2 deals, but am waiting for another 2.

    Received
2x Galaxy, 2x Just add cheese & 2x Christmas Basket
1x Thorntons, 1x Cadbury, 1x preserves, 1x Ltd Edition, 1x sweets + hamper club membership and chocolate spoon

These arrived too late for me to donate the 2x Christmas & Ltd Edition hampers to the school raffle, as I'd promised, and I had to buy replacements to save my embarrassment!

    I'm waiting for
    2x large Christmas Hampers
2x small Christmas Hampers (from 12+12 deal that I purchased last month - rather regretting that decision now!)

The 2 large hampers are presents for my parents and the in-laws and I need them by Friday, as we are doing the present run this weekend. They know they are getting them (had to tell them, so that they didn't go out and buy stuff). I've not let them know about the fact that they've not arrived yet, don't want to worry them.

When I the first lot of hampers arrived late, I emailed to ask whether I could postpone the first 2 hampers on my 12+12 deal (and have 4 hampers in January instead, of non Christmasy stuff) as I am now going to have more Christmas stuff than I need. But I got no reply to my, polite, email.

I have the horrible feeling that I'm going to have to give the small Christmas hampers to both sets of parents - how embarrassing!

    Hi everyone,

My hampers arrived today (well late Tuesday) and I've only just had time to open them and check what's inside. I ordered the FESTIVE SPECIAL deal and paid £85 including the postage charges. I got:

1 x Cheese Hamper which is LOVELY.
1 x Galaxy Hamper (it looks OK but I haven't checked what was supposed to be in it yet).
1 x Fiery Chilli Hamper (swapped for the small Christmas Basket which I asked them to do BEFORE placing my order) which is also LOVELY.
1 x Mini Hamper made up by me to substitute the Preserves Tray (I can't remember what it was called). They got a few of my requests wrong but it is still nice.
2 x FREE Christmas Hampers which were both different and contained different sized items that were meant to be the same! After mixing things up and swapping the contents about a bit I AM VERY HAPPY WITH WHAT I GOT. By the way, the biscuits don't fit in the hampers and they have been packed seperately in the box. I'm not sure how I will give those - I might try to tie them to the handle or lid with ribbon or something. Or I might just eat them and be done with it. :rotfl:

Anyway, I am just going to say that my emails were not replied to, I never got a despatch email, a few of the substitutes were wrong (I think they have low stock and are trying to make things up as best they can) BUT the hampers do look lovely and will make great presents for what I paid (6 x hampers for £85 = approx £14 each).

For those of you still waiting, please don't lose heart. I am a happy customer despite a few mistakes and lack of communication from the company. I would buy from them again although perhaps not at Christmas!

I really hope you all get your orders in time and are happy with what you get. :)

UPDATE: I thought I would just add that I looked at a hamper in BHS last week that was £60 on offer. It contained wine, but the preserves were in small jars and I don't think it had much more in it than the ones I received. In fact BHS were a bit naughty because they padded their hampers out more to make them look like they contained more than they did! I think for £14 I got a very good deal.

I just realised I had a red box of Thorntons chocs stashed away for OH's Mum, and some toffees for his Dad. If I put the toffees inside and the Thorntons chocs and the Christmas biscuits on top of the hamper and tie it all up with string it looks gorgeous. So for under £20 including the bits I added they now have what looks like a very expensive gift. :j
