You can always close a paypal dispute if the hampers arrive to your satisfaction in the mean time.

thank you - that is helpful:) Would obviously like to speak to Neil first as I would prefer not to raise a dispute unless it becomes absolutely necessary - but if I can't get hold of him soon I will be left with no choice...

Cannot believe I am one of many it seems. I also ordered at the start of October two hampers, with the first week of December delivery timescale. One was needed for the 14th for a charity raffle and the other for Tomorrow as we're going away to see family and we planned to take it with us. They live 150 miles away and are going to Kenya for 4-weeks on the Friday after Christmas, so we want to get it to them so they could enjoy it before they went. I e-mailed the company a week before the 14th to confirm I'd have it in time, I was assured it would be delivered before. It wasn't.

Don't see how hard it can be to understand your limitations and simply set a quota of the amount of hampers they could handle. By clearly being unrealistic and trying to pack in as many orders as possible they've shot themselves in the foot. And having seen how they have spoken to people on Twitter is so ill-mannered and unprofessional it's unbelievable, yes customers are going to be irate, speak to you nastily... but you are working for them, they have given you their money, speak to them with respect for goodness sake!
  • I've missed my 45 day Paypal dispute opportunity as I was so organised this year (or so I thought! Lol!) but I'm sure it must be possible to insist upon a refund if they don't arrive by Christmas - I shall certainly be giving it a try anyway.
And I can't believe he only employed extra people THIS WEEK and is saying on Twitter that he will be staying up all night to get the remainder out, as if we should be sympathising with him. He should have done that last week before even the most tolerant of us ran out of patience! Grrr - like Inkypink I haven't commented before but really need to have a moan!!
And to think I deliberately ordered from him and not M&S or Waitrose because I believe in supporting local, independent businesses - this is the first time ever that I have regretted that decision!
Phew - feeling a little better - thank you!

This was the deal I ordered.

No pretty ribbons, no gift tags and no extras eg the mince pies slotted through the handle that some people had.

List of expected contents/what was actually in the hamper: post 698.

The 'Just add cheese' was the best BUT no Port Chutney, just onion as a substitute - hardly exciting. No photo of that basket.

It seems the ONLY person who got the promised Port Chutney was the local woman whose husband collected her
"beautifully wrapped" hampers. No surprise there then.
  • I made two PayPal disputes earlier today as it was nearly time up. Lets see if anything happens now.
  • My 45 days was up on the 2nd December :( just tried to dispute so can't even get my £70 back grrrrrr.

One more thing, go on to their website and take screen shots of everything, including the front page of the Christmas 2012 page where they are still saying the hampers will be delivered by the first week in December! In particular, get pictures of what all the hampers look like on their site to compare with what you receive (if you do!) If you don't have a screen grabber, search for screen grab pro on the web. It's free and very easy to use. Also, try and get screen grabs of any Twitter conversations you may have had, even those he ignored. It will all be evidence for any claims etc
  • Just a quick question....if I paid through Paypal using my credit card who do I open a dispute with? Sorry if that's a stupid question!

    Thanks x

This may be useful. I was planning on making a claim through the credit card company but I may be wrong xx
