Got myself a Premier Park ticket for not displaying the permit in the residents car park. Oversight on drivers part, car had been in for repair and the person driving had forgotten to switch it over from one vehicle to the other and as the dash was cluttered with papers none of the other drivers noticed it.

It had been in the car park since Sunday evening like this and as I suspected due to the lack of easy money now clamping been outlawed they have reduced the patrols from twice daily to well whenever. They came on Wednesday at 1.30pm and gave me a ticket. Daft thing is the van is bright yellow and they know I have a permit, the facilities office was open and they could have walked up, checked my official permit number and then as is part of the role they perform check it had not been duplicated or was in use by another vehicle.

I am sure some of the eagle beagles will spot lots of failings, but instant thing I noticed is that no way to pay over the phone so you have to provide more information in an unsecure format that could be intercepted by absolutely anyone!

I did find the immobilsation and towing section intriguing.

Obviously I have put in an appeal on the above grounds. :A

  • Ignore them, with tickets like that they would never take it any further than threats and debt collectors (toothless as ever)
Ticket still says about clamping. Does not offer you your rights to appeal both to the company or Popla.
    Don't forget now, ignore them.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Oh this isnt my first ticket from them......I also removed a clamp from my vehicle which they were not very happy about!

I Think they were Somewhat surprised as it is an upmarket development of suits (me included) and many had just been paying for clamps to be released......but like Superman my suit hides many other skills that I possess ;-)

Sam you are a star. I too work at a desk with my nose pressed against a computer screen, but sadly I will never now get to surprise some clampit with my hidden talents (I just replaced a ball joint on my motor yesterday; one of the bolts was so seized that my trusty 6WD socket + breaker bar sliced the corners off like so much cheese, so out came my trusty angle grinder; all the skills and equipment needed for clamp thwarting, no longer required!)

He's an ugly git to boot!!!

I've only seen one good looking guy in the parking Industry. Works for excel/VCs in Sheffield. Obviously gay , , I said he could ticket me any day.

I did however have a stalker who took a liking to me from the west midlands area but boy was he at the back of the queue when god was handing out the good looks. And I don't think his wife would have been to happy!
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

So you don't fancy SRS with his smug grin then? Or Perky's porky slicked-back look? :rotfl:

Ah shucks, thankfully I knew the ball joints had just been replaced and therefore the bolts would not be that tight so it all came apart quite easily. I had taken a taxi to the local Toolstation and bought a set of 36" bolt croppers, a cheapo angle grinder and a 50' extensino lead just in case the clamper had got it through a wishbone. The clamp was coming off no matter what and the repercussions would be dealt with as required.

I would love them to clamp me now. I really would.
