lol! I think if your going to do this you have to at least do your homework by reading a few threads on the internet - try goggling '2012 most popular xmas toys'
Think asking on a thread where your target customer will be posting is probably not the way to get the most sensible answers :rotfl:
Anyhow I've been up to my local after the school run despite my older 2 telling me they don't have any toys on their xmas list this year!
There was nothing much there compared to previous years, few half price Sylvanians, bit of Lego, their own brand toys, dolls house and the nerf guns.
Picked up a pretend and play set for my little one and thats about it
I think this sale is in no way as good as it has been in previous years0 -
Hi all
Bobbi-m how did you get on? Managed to get everything on my list and isles were quite calm and friendly I thought. Please tell me you weren't the nutty lady at the front of the queue whooping and shouting when they were unlocking the doors lol. I was in done and home by half 8 I time for the school run yay.
Loads of Lego stuff left wasn't going nearly as fast with only third off. All sylvanian and most barbie gone tho as that was half price. Fisher price stuff still quite a lot left and plenty of Moshi and monsters high as not quite cheap enough for peep
Good luck all
CM
lol!:rotfl:that really made me laugh CM - no idea whether peeps were queueing to get in to my local early - was pretty deserted at 8.45 after school run though0 -
While you may not agree with what they have done, it isnt exactly fair to say that you're honest and they are not.
They have not acted unlawfully, how do you know that they dont need a few quid this way to feed the family?
Just my opinion, money swindling not saving!
Think we could all do with an extra few quid tbh but I wouldn't be doing it that way.0 -

I think they've noticed that over the past couple of years, people haven't been doing their weekly shop and picking up a few toys, they've just been going there for the toys and nothing else.
My local store had nothing different out this morning. There's enough offers elsewhere this year (and probably more to come in the next few weeks) to find bargains without Sainsburys, imo.0 -
Anyone see how much happyland stuff is reduced by instore?!
It's 25% at my local with loads on the shelf, but 50% online all out of stock!0 -
Just got my items on mothercare - pricematching with Amazon - but they don't do 20% off anymore since yesterday?0

Been to our local this morning. So much more civilised. Staff were saying they couldn't understand why it was so quiet! Not 50% off everything thats why! Loads left.
Really annoyed, the only thing I wanted was the Lego Friends campervan which was 1/3 off online. Had them instore but no reduction at all. Only thing there not reduced. Started to get more busy when I left at 9.30. Only came away with two bits0 -

I know I was disappointed as my 2 love it but with that measly discount I waked past it!
Did anyone notice the toolkit set in a yellow plastic box? I thought that was a good buy at £3.99. I can imagine my little one loving it, especially with it having its own tool box! It was Sainsbobs own make.
I have to say I didn't think it was that bad, I was expecting it to be rubbish but there were extra aisles for the toys & nothing was OOS yet. That was the Harrogate store at about 9.30 :-)0 -

:mad::mad::mad::mad:
*virtual slap* let people buy them selves to get genuine bargains for their children and dont be so damn greedy trying to make a profit0
