My local (Deal) is pretty pants for toys! We have the smallest 2 half aisles but i still got to the store for 7.30am, it opened at 7.

There was some sylvaian family stuff (sorry about the spelling!), a big barbie double doll set, a large polly pocket set and a hot wheels set all half price. Most of what was in ours was the sainsbury's own 'grow and play' stuff, which i ended up buying most of. I got a few large jigsaws for £1.50 from £3 which are really bright and worth the money! I also got a musical bongo which can be spun and plays some catchy music with bright lights under the drum skin.

All in all not exactly what i expected, altho there was a few lego sets. Gutted my store didn't have any playmobil as thats a long term love in my family! Can't really remember much else that was in Deal tho, but most of the stock was barely touched and i was the only sad person there so early haha.

    Happy shopping :)

Normally try to buy a few things to sell on ebay, just wondered if there were any particularly good items that are on offer that people would want?

It's folk like you who make it very difficult for us honest people to get the toys when they go on sale!
Don't agree with this at all, profiting from parents desperately trying to get the toys their children want

  • So there was only 2 people in the toy aisle at one of the Wolverhampton stores at 8am - including me!!

Stephanie Lego Friends had already gone (staff must have had that) which I really wanted as was sold out online when I went on at 6am (and was disappointed the site crashed last night and I stayed up til 1am!!)

    Anyway I got:

2 x lego friends small sets
    Lego friends with the horse
2 Hello Kitty small beenies with the cool trendy glasses
    1 Minnie mouse small beenie
Large Hello Kitty soft toy with ice cream cone
    Hello Kitty Ferris wheel set
    Disney princess doll
    Barbie gold christmas doll

Prob will only need to keep one of the dolls but could not decide which to keep.

Was disappointed that everything was not 50% though. Will hold out for some other sales.

    Hi all

Bobbi-m how did you get on? Managed to get everything on my list and isles were quite calm and friendly I thought. Please tell me you weren't the nutty lady at the front of the queue whooping and shouting when they were unlocking the doors lol. I was in done and home by half 8 I time for the school run yay.

Loads of Lego stuff left wasn't going nearly as fast with only third off. All sylvanian and most barbie gone tho as that was half price. Fisher price stuff still quite a lot left and plenty of Moshi and monsters high as not quite cheap enough for peep

    Good luck all

    Couldn't agree more. Bloody selfish!

that said, a sale is a sale, it's a bonus not a right that the bargains are there but it's still fab t have money off anything at this time of year! XXX

Yes, people would want you to take a long walk off a short pier.

While you may not agree with what they have done, it isnt exactly fair to say that you're honest and they are not.
They have not acted unlawfully, how do you know that they dont need a few quid this way to feed the family?
