It's not the battery causing the starting issue it's the injectors.

I can try easy start spray but that can cause engine damage, what's least risky?

I have read that some use WD40. But its not ideal.

You really need to sort the problem. Using these items can cause serious damage.

  • I am sorting it, taking to garage tuesday but I have to start it one more time to get it there.

WD40 is the same as easy start more or less so might give that a go.

Easy start is a lot more flammable. When used on a diesel its more of an explosion. Oil in the WD40 helps slow the burn down a bit.

    Still not ideal though.

I had to use Easy Start in the end, luckily no damage caused.

Car is now repaired, £420 for two injectors, reconditioned, they come with a 12 month warranty.

Car drives well and starts first time! Will report how it fares after I've put a few miles on it. It seems quieter and less agricultural than it has for a few months to be honest.

Will get the other two injectors done when I can afford it or would you recommend waiting until I have any issues? Garage reckon they usually all go around the same time.

I really cannot afford for the car to go wrong again now until after Christmas so wish me luck!
