Sad to read of your loss . Allow yourself to grieve as she was part of your family . I hope you'll be able to take some comfort that you gave her a life of love and took care of her till the end . Best wishes .0

So sorry
RIP Katie
You gave that little dog 6 yrs of total happiness and freedom from that horrible place she was in and she paid you back 10 fold in love. Never forget her and the happiness she gave you :kisses3: you made the kindest and most humane decision for your little fur baby.

So sorry to hear about Katie.
This thread has made me cry. I lost my dog in July and know how awful it is.
Just try and remember that you gave her a wonderful life with lots of love and didn't let her suffer.
It does get easier. I still have a little cry every day over my boy but I can now also smile when I remember the good times we shared. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
You made the right decision - because you made it with the best interests of Katie at heart and not selfishly!0

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my Lhasa last December very suddenly. Its heartbreaking and leaves such a massive void in your life, Lhasa's are such dear little dogs. I hope your lovely memories of her bring you comfort.0

So sorry to hear of your loss. How wonderful you were able to share part of her life with her and bring out her happy side. It's such a difficult time for you, you do have to try to remember the good times and the happiness that you were able to share with one another. (((Hugs)))0

So sorry, she sounds like an absolute legend and I imagine she will leave a massive hole in your heart. It does get easier, I promise, but the early days are so, so hard. I lost my beloved GSD in April and I grieved for her for weeks; it's only been this past couple of months that I can now look back and remember her amazing life
Huge hugs xx0 -
Thank you so much for all your kind words. I'm starting to feel a little better today, not breaking down into a snivelling mess! Your messages have really helped, also my writing her 'story' has been cathartic.
I still feel her presence in the flat at the moment. I keep thinking I hear her snuffling (she used to do that a lot as she was finding her way around by scent). I've also thought that I've heard her snoring, she could snore for Britain! When I'm at my computer, I still 'feel' her with her head on my feet.
I have also gone through guilt as well as sadness. What if it wasn't a brain tumour. What if it could have been treated. Was I too quick to give up on her. I suppose these are all normal feelings. Aren't they?0 -
Puppypants, don't torture yourself. You did the right thing in taking the vets advice.Spend less now, work less later.0
