I once got a wheelbarrow(!) but it turned out to be the most useful present ever!

I got my mum a spade last year, she loved it. This year she's having a Greenhouse for xmas, she's wanted one for ages. My dad's getting a car port from me. I'm not wierd, it's stuff they want and I can't be doing in the normal cliche presents that they don't want (helps also when hubby helps sell all this sort of thing, so I get a huge discount).
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

  • My OH is away at the moment (hes in the forces) so some friends of mine took me in for most of yesterday and I had an awesome time with them - great friends, especially as they had family round and this is their first christmas with their new baby. Truly in the spirit of xmas!

But in the evening I went to my Grandads - hes a milionaire, and rattles around in a 5 bedroom house on the sea front, on his own. He didnt get ANYONE a single thing! Not my mum, me, my brother or sister. He didnt even buy in a box of mince pies or bottle of wine for dinner. Luckily food was arranged by mum....

    Miserable old git!
  • I was lucky, all my presents were lovely, but my friend texted me yesterday to say she'd received a book of first class stamps and two tubes of toothpaste from her mum.

Judging by the gifts written about on here these wildly random donations go into the perpetual cycle of charity shop >> well meaning elderly aunt >> baffled recipient >> charity shop! :p

    :T That would explain a lot.:D

My worst present ever has never been beaten.

A pair of black, high heeled mules covered in marabou feathers. !!!!!!?

This year I got nothing but a single toiletries gift set, but at least I'll use it.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
  • I really hate the tv show deal or no deal and my OH knows that. So one christmas he gave me the deal or no deal computer game. Said he knew i didnt like the show but perhaps I would like the game? Why??? Couldnt understand the logic of that and was totally baffled but made me laugh!

On another note, my brother has managed to get me a book i already have the last two xmas's running...starting to think hes doing it deliberately!
