im a heavy downloader with my 2meg pipex maxed out pretty much all the time. I admit that this alone wouldnt use up the 500gig limit but i share my connection with two other people which might turn into a further two so the chances of reaching the limit is ever closer

Been with them for a week now. Service is great and tech support is excellent. Speed is unreal when flat out. No way I could ever use the 500GB cap. I was considered an extremely heavy user by BTYahoo (68GB monthly average over 14 months). Now Im on 8MB for the same price I paid for 2MB.

Another thing.. UKOnline website also says they cant do Engineer installed migrations. This is incorrect. I had an engineer installed BT connection and was migrated no problem. (downtime of 11 minutes)

I also have a post in the referers board concerning UKOnline. (sorry if this breaks any rules)

I checked to see if the 8MB service was available for me on the website but it wasn't. I think this might be because i'm not with BT for my phone as I can't seem to find any DSL service without BT phone. Is there anyway of me finding out whether or not it would be available if I was to switch my phone to BT? because I don't wanna switch to BT then find out it's not available.

I am in the same boat as I have an NTL Line. However I used a friend BT number just to find out and it came up congratulations broadband is available in your area. But I then get different prices with 2mb being £29.99 as I am not in thier 'enabled' areas and have to go via BT Network
