I'm in my mid 40's and work as a PA in financial services. Don't particularly enjoy it but it pays well so I'm sticking with it until I've cleared my debts and then look for something else.

I've been working in offices most of my life so quite fancy something completely different and not office based.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)

Carpet cleaner sounds like a crap job but it actually pays quite well for some reason.

I love it, started 6 years ago, can be hard work and you have the troughs and highs income.

33 and I work in Human Resources. As far as jobs go it isnt too bad. I do sometimes think of retraining, but I dont know what I would like to do and unless I could trnsfer at the same level, I couldnt afford the pay drop.
  • 24 and I am a Pensions Annuity Guidance Officer. I landed in the position rather by accident but actually really enjoy it :-) It's surprisingly interesting and I pick up new knowledge constantly, which will of course help me in the future.

Love my job and more importantly the people I work with !
Am 49 and a Local Government tutor.

I worked for a neighbouring authority previously, I was paid more, but it was pants! I moved into this job earlier in the year and it's great. Less money but the people I work with are all lovely which is worth a couple of grand a year to me.
