    Morning :hello:

We got back yesterday afternoon. There's nothing quite like your own shower and bed :D

Dermatitis flared up on my hands again, but has improved this morning. I took my usual soap, shower gel etc. with us so I'm not sure what caused it :undecided

I've scrubbed the chicken shed and need to do the same with the guinea pig hutch. Master tru is definitely not as fussy as me. I've had to scrub the hob too, I think he fried all his food all week and has splattered grease everywhere.

I took my yoga dvd on holiday with me. I get up earlier than everyone else so thought I'd do a bit every morning, even it's just the 10 minute beginner section. I didn't turn it on once :o I'll get back into it today, bet it's hard work :D

Time to put another load of washing on :D

    Hi all,

Day off today, got a load of ironing to do, and a major clean up is needed.

Family have told me they are fed up with chicken pie, so need to think of something else to use up yesterdats roast, we don,t eat pasta and brain has gone... Would a chicken stewy type thing work with sliced potato on top?

Hope your all well, havn,t had a chance to read through yet.

Better get off - said i,d do some baking today, thinking of making cinamon buns with lemon drizzle and banana and chocolate muffins, maybe some flapjacks and we appear to have a mountain of porrage oats in the cupboards.

DD in major creep mode, she wants a new phone and has asked me to meet her in town later - have asked her to write down what 'jobs' she,s prepared to do to 'earn' it as OH is working 7 days a week at the moment and i,m doing 10 hour days at work - at 16 she should be helping out more!

Have a good monday all xx

Moorhen I've emailed Lou to tel, her you'd like to see a pic, not heard back but like RR I wouldn't like to share it without her permission x

Adelight sadly commuting is too far, no direct trains and using the M5 in rush hour every day........he be spending nearly 4 hours a day commuting

BB yes H is coming home weekends :j

DS had another wobble this morning :( I suspect school this week is going to go down hill for him. Still informed his teacher and she's very good so I know he will be well looked after.
DD coping. Well so far, hope that continues.

Anyway enough of my waffle. Waiting for a friend to drop off some bubble wrap from her parents house move last week. Not sure where I am going to stash 6 bags of the stuff

Hilstep hope arm continues to get better xx

Tru glad you had a great time :)

Right time to get a move on :)

Ooo Islandmaid, why did you have to mention lemon drizzle? I'm wanting some cake now!

    Morning all :)
DS1 goes back to uni today, he will visit again in 3 weeks time as a friend is having a birthday party so I can just hold out that long. It's so lovely having him here as he is much more cuddly than my other 2!
I lit the fire with the allowed smokeless coal last night - what a joke! The room was colder than before as the coal gives no heat off, and there was a big draught of air rushing up the open chimney flap.
No idea what i'll make for dinner yet, I might defrost some fish and do either fish pie or fish cakes.
Mightly tempted to make a cake but I end up eating 90% of it and my weight is going up and up since I had my gallbladder out - i've put on a stone since April. Damn my sweet tooth!
I hope everyone has a fab day, and hugs to those who need them
    xx

Redruby and Bitsy thank you for asking Lou to put a photo on here.
I wasn't thinking when I wrote that this morning and the last thing that I would want to do is upset Lou.

    Thanks for putting me straight.

    Hi all

Mr LW is on leave for four days, and we've been over to the GP surgery as soon as it opened to make an appt for my blood test, hence I'm on here earlier than usual.

Bitsy I hope your DH's first day in his new job goes well; coping vibes for you, you'll be fine without him during the week, I'm sure - just take a bit of getting used to. And it's only temporary, til you can relocate.;) Is he going to call/email tonight to let you know how it's gone?:o

    Islandmaid
I may be talking tosh, as I'm vegetarian, but I'd have thought chicken could be minced and used to make a cottage pie style of thing.:o

MSE report...:money: We called in Mr T after visiting the surgery; my basket came to £38.24 (a lot for me, but Mr LW wanted a bottle of whiskey, and they had Speyside at a reasonable price - oh, I also told him if he wanted that, he had to pay for the whole shop).:D Anyways... I digress ... £38.24.... I have a coupon for £4 off a £40 shop.... I already bought two bottles of cooking wine, at £2.99 a bottle.... So I sent Mr LW trotting off for another bottle of cooking wine. (It'll get used, and it's not like it'll go off or anything). Another £2.99 on my bill, minus the £4 voucher as it's now over £40, and by putting one more bottle in the basket, we ended up paying £1.01 LESS than I would have paid without it!:rotfl::T:money: The till assistant was laughing her socks off. Luckily at that time of day it wasn't busy in there.:D OK, it's not the National Debt, but as they say, every little helps!!:rotfl:

  • Good morning everyone :)

Busy day yesterday and never managed to get back but car is now ready for Winter, washing all got dried, took DD and DGD shopping, weeded the garden, did some ebay listing and packed up some ebay and Amazon parcels, marinaded a huge piece of pork which is now on slow cooker setting in the oven and did a meal plan and shopping list for the week.

Phew it feels like a rest being back at work today!

All the talk of family trees has got me thinking about looking at mine again but I came to a standstill last time when I reached my grandmother's siblings. They were all known by different names to their given names and I struggled finding WWI casualties with a common surname and no idea of the real given name. I may give it another go.

Well back to work so well wishes to sick people and pets and hugs to anyone who needs or just wants one.

    Have a super day :)

    morning all!

didn't post all weekend due to work but now DH and I have a week off:j:j:j

He's gone fishing today and I've had a lie in and am popping to the library then this aftrenoon going to see my nmate for a natter - not seen her for over a month due to holidays and illness - she's old enough to be my Mum but we are on the same wavelength and get on so well - she makes me laugh!:)

I've had a quick tidy up, washing on the line, fish pies defrosting for tea. Got some leftover cauli so might make a cauli cheese later. Have also got some apples - cookers my sister gave me so they need doing too.

Hilstep - glad you're feeling better and slept well:) x

Bitsy - (((hugs))) hope the children sleep well tonight in their own beds x

Have a great day all x
