  • I got a ski jacket from TK Maxx, lovely and warm and non-sweaty!

He is gorgeous, looks like his big boy fur is starting to come through now on his back.

Is he ready for Santa Claws?

Thanks, never thought to try there but will have a look and perhaps pick one up in January sales. Failing that I went to a Sports Direct shop who had 'Karrimor' jackets for around £40 that looked quite good.

He is kind of ready, i've still to pick up some things for him (stag bar and another squeaky snake) but other than that we are all organised. Not sure what he is going to have for his dinner though :p We are going to my parents house, Logan is raw fed though so might give him a turkey leg to join in with the tradition.

Are you and the Tyson prepared?
  • We are almost prepared.

The tree has mainly survived unscathed this year. I forgot that last year he adopted it as his personal bum scratcher, and so had a couple of days wondering why a bald patch kept appearing in the tree. It is now fenced off!

Santa has dropped a few of his presents round, some Dentistix which he LOVES, and some teddies from the local dog rescue charity shop.

For his dinner I think he is having his usual food with some gravy and sprouts.

He has had more cards than me this year!!

Ski jacket from TK Maxx here too :) I have a bright red one which helps with visibility in the dark too (bane of any driver's life, all these people who wander around near roads in the dark with black clothin head to toe!)

I'd say just be a tad careful with the turkey leg - if he's not had turkey before then a whole leg may upset his tum, but if he's had the meat before then just watch him with the bone. A friend feeds turkey occasionally and has to watch her dog as the denser leg bone of the turkey (denser as they carry so much more weight on them, a turkey is a big bird!) can sometimes splinter.

Some thin waterproof trousers are a good buy too. Almost like a rain mac for legs.
I use them when I don't want to have to get changed in to my scruffs just to go for a quick walk, as I can put them on over the top of my jeans or work trousers.
Ear muffs too! My head gets too hot in a bobble hat, and so ear muffs keep the chilly bits warm without overheating the rest of me :)

Our tree has been fine til this morning when MY BUM knocked it over when I was mopping up. Logan doesn't really bother with it and Frankie cat plays with the baubles but doesn't try to climb.

Logan had more cards than me too :rotfl:

He has had turkey before but not leg, just chicken/lamb leg so if he does get turkey will keep an eye but might be easier just giving him chicken carcass, got one in freezer and its very meaty ( he wont know its not turkey :p ).

I know what you mean about hi-vis, never thought about it atall til I passed driving test in March, it's scary how invisible people become by wearing black in the dark !

Oh yes I will be getting them too, already have a pair but they are too tight on me ( I got them when I was 17... 23 now so not as trim shall we say !) so will pick up a new pair as will be handy (to shove on over my PJS :p) I have a ear warmer thingy, not quite muffs as I have terrible hearing and they make me pretty much deaf but its like a headband thingy made of 'hat material' that goes around ears and head..
