Do you tip in restaurants?

Do you tip of the food was terrible but the service good? What about an amazing meal served by terrible waiters?
Oh the decision0 -
I always tip for good service around £3-£4 but I do hate it when they include a service charge regardless of the service. I never leave tips via credit cards because it goes to the company and not wholly to the the waiter/ress.0

I'm a journalist at the Independent. I'm investigating unfair tipping and am looking for case studies. Do get in touch if you have a story or know anyone who does. I'm on s.usborne@independent.co.uk.
