Bad Dog Owners

As a dog owner myself I am horrified to read this post. This must be reported to the RSPCA/dog warden/environmental health.
The fact it is a Rottie means that IF something terrible happened (eg, hot weather coming up, little or no shade/lack of drinking water all leads to a very bad tempered dog, regardless of breed) such as it got out or was tormented and retaliated means that once again, the Rottie will be branded with a bad name when it is the owners fault. Unfortunately Rotties are bought as a trophy and when things go wrong they get incredible bad press.
If you don't want to get involved ask someone else in your neighbour hood. Put it this way - if it was a child being neglected would you have the same attitude? If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Well said. :T Glad to see I'm not the only one who gets annoyed at this sort of thing!0 -
Why bother posting if you don't do anything? If it were cat's that were suffering, would you just move to ignore that too? No wonder kids, the aged, animals etc get abused when some people just turn their backs and take the "it's not in my back yard approach" like you're doing...
I have to agree with this.
If it was as bad as you say, you'd be keen to do something to deal with it0 -
There's so much wrong in the world and it's not my job to put it right.
Attitudes like this allowed the holocaust to happen.
You may not be able to change the world, but you could change that dogs life.0 -
So, you can type out a 40-line post on this forum but not be arsed to report the incident to the RSPCA? Very productive of you - glad you feel better for it.This space has been intentionally left blank0

Glenn that did make me laugh!
The Op has also slipped in this topic on another thread about noisy neighbours, but has put that the dog was "loved to bits" in it.
They were advised to contact the RSPCA on that thread too.............If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Actually the more I read the original post the angrier I am getting. "Real" dog owners - as opposed to what? Are these people who stay at home all day with their dogs, walk them for miles and miles every day? Are "nonreal" dog owners those who work?
I work. Full time. And have 3 dogs. Who have a proper routine, long walks in the morning and evenings, are fed with the best I can afford, are loved, have their jabs/worming/boosters/other vet stuff up to date, share my happy times, sad times, who bring me manky old bones as presents - and yes they will bark in the garden but only to let me know that there are other people outside. My enighbours are quite used to me saying "shurrup" whenever they do start and will actually happily chat to my dogs. I clean up after them every day unless it is pouring with rain or pitch black.
How do you know (as mentioned in another post) that there are at least 25 (or was it 27) turds in the back garden? did you lean over the fence and count? I think if someone leant over my fence to count turds in my garden I would EXPECT my dogs to kick up a fuss.
Yousay that some people should not have dogs. I can also think of some who should not have children too - bet you wouldn't complain about them!!!!!:mad:If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Yes lets just do a crap where we fancy.
You're all weird. Saying I'm now in the wrong. Loonies!
I hate dogs, and I hate their owners too. The dogs are more intelligent than they are.
how charming you are!Just to win anything would be great!!0 -
