If your this upset about it, why don't you call the RSPCA anonymously and report the dog??? If you don't do anything about it then you can't expect it to change... Either that or talk to the neighbours directly. you could maybe speak to the council about the environmental hazards caused by the dogs mess and the noise polution? At least do something...0

Do you own your house? If so, you may find that without doing something about the dog you will struggle to sell.
You say you care about how an animal is treated (even if not a dog lover), but surely by ignoring what is happening you have no right to moan about it. June is a long why off if you do nothing and have to listen to that poor dog barking it will drive you insane.
The RSPCA have a 24-hour helpline you can call and with the introduction of the new Animal Welfare act recently have more powers to do something about cruelty cases before the animal suffers.
RSPCA Helpline page. There's so much wrong in the world and it's not my job to put it right. I had a nasty disagreement with a neighbour in the past and I'm not going there again. You can't change people.
If everyone said "it's not my job to put it righth" where would this world be? In a much worse place than it is now for sure. Take the initative and help ensure this dog is put out its misery by reporting the couple to the RSPCA. You don't have to chase it, just report it.0 -
dont even go there with dog owners, we have a couple who live down our road who have 3 st bernards. The dogs look in terrible condition in fact a few weeks ago one of them had lost half the fur on its body and they look very thin, they have the body shape of a normal dog not the shape you would expect a big dog like that to look like.
one of their neighbours has phoned the rspca as she was very concerned about them but no-ones been to see them.Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

Surely they wouldnt know it was you that reported them? Their garden will be visible from more houses than just yours. You are going to find it very very difficult to sell your house if theirs a dog barking next door every time you have viewers in. I think you really need to call the RSPCA if not for the dogs benefit (which personally I think is the most imporant thing) then do it for yours!

it sounds as though these dogs are being neglected and there is
a new animal welfare law passed in the last month which might be helpfulIf indeed you must be candid, be candid beautifully.

Why bother posting if you don't do anything? If it were cat's that were suffering, would you just move to ignore that too? No wonder kids, the aged, animals etc get abused when some people just turn their backs and take the "it's not in my back yard approach" like you're doing...0

i didn't realise this i will definatly phone them then as i said before on of their immediate neighbours rang up and complained. i've seen them in the local shop buying 3 small (baked bean sized) tins of dog food i could be wrong but surely they eat more than this being a st bernard!!!Other women want a boob job. From the RSPCA website
"The law comes into force on 28 March in Wales and on 6 April in England. The Animal Welfare Act includes a new 'welfare offence' - which put simply means that the owner of a pet is legally obliged to care for their pet properly, by providing:- proper diet, including fresh water
- somewhere suitable to live
- for any need to be housed with or apart from, other animals
- the ability to express normal behaviour
- protection from and treatment of, illness and injury."
Your neighbours would seem to be breaking the law on welfare grounds.
By doing nothing you are condoning the ill treatment of this dog.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - please

I think you are being cruel by not doing anything. That poor dog. I reported a friend of mine to the RSPCA as I did not like their treatment of their dog. I reported it annoymously and RSPCA took their dog away. They do not know it was me.
Call the RSPCA please.0
