Layout isn't too far off what I reccommend, but I hate (and I mean hate) the objective and spare time sections, and that adjective list in the bottom right of each page is utterly meaningless. I'd rather see those things demonstrated in the at work section.

I'm afraid Eliza wouldn't give me a great first impression!

The list in the text box bottom right is just strange.

The objective just makes her sound big headed, hobbies are bit weak.

Big thanks to brazillianwax for emailing me a draft cv, & to everyone else who has commented. My next problem is - when will I get the time to sort this for him - I'm too busy chatting on here this evening ! lol !

PS - I did actually support Australia in the World Cup - having developed an unhealthy obsession with Mile Sterjovski :o

What??!!! Depends on the CV and the person writing it!

I can knock one up in about 45 mins (for someone else) but my husband's took me about a day!!!

I think you meant to say it took you 3 hours.

    Hi,

Good link here. Click on the work section and you'll find what you're looking for.

    http://www.nextstep-derbyshire.org

Includes several example CVs. If you're applying for different jobs try and tailor your CV accordingly. My pet hate is when people state the obvious and put CV or curriculum vitae as their main title. "I can see it's your bloomin CV!!!"

If I can do one in 3 hours with my typing and deleting it and rewriting it over and over then anyone can do it in 3 hours.

Nothing unhealthy about that! Although I prefer Mr Kewell tbh, or I would be partial to a slice of Tim Cahill also. Sod it, any of em' would do! lol ! We were robbed, but hey - that's a whole new thread & nothing to do with me writing the OH a cv !

You could write one from scratch for an IT consultant (and all the technical training and other stuff that goes with it) in 3 hours, could you?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

He should really have an upto date CV with you being a near FCIPD after all. You should really always have a CV available.
