One more reason not to get another dog - updated for any cleaning tips?

I cleaned one of my carpets with the liquid detergent you put in washing machines, Daz I think it was.

It totally eradicated the doggy pong after a very unfortunate accident the day after the dog found a manky old bit of KFC and scoffed it all...!

I bought stuff called Mistral pet disinfectant from ebay last year and it's great, I believe that kennels use it and it seem to kill nearly everything, you can also buy it directly from the manufacturer ( not sure if ebay's the cheapest ) http://mistralie.co.uk/products/odourfresh-pet-disinfectant-standard. I've used it in my vax and it's brought the carpets up lovely , I also use it to wipe down my couches and of course other surfaces.
