Cleaning the sodding carpet! I've borrowed a vax from a friend, spent 3 hours and so far I'm only half way through the sitting room with the rest of the house to go. I'm not so young but free and single, this is not how I should be spending my weekends off.
Now admittedly I can't blame the red wine stains on the dearly departed mutt - actually I can as she's the one who knocked the table over- but her preferred spots are definitely more festering than my bits. Mutt the sequel (if it ever happens) will be hosed down and disinfected at far more regular intervals!
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

:D I'm with you on this one.

Me or the wife vacuum at least twice a day, emptying more dog hair than could be found in any groomers salon.

After deciding that the carpets looked a bit "grubby" we invested in a Vax cleaner..... Oh dear!

The last time I saw so much hair was at a Status Quo concert in the 70s, I wasn't actually cleaning the carpet but more giving it a wash, style & blow dry.

I have 2 DDBs which don't really moult. God only knows how peeps with long haired moulty types cope?
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!
  • you could always change to a laminate floor before you get a new mutt ! go on...give a dog a home ! you know you want to !

I did consider laminate but I do like a nice warm carpet underfoot in the sitting room. Plus I've made the most of being dog free by booking the most expensive holiday I've ever been on in my life. Now on a serious money saving kick to pay for it.And on a different note I think I've just blocked the drains with assorted dog gunge.

I bought a Vax carpet cleaner too - I couldn't live without it! 2 dogs and O/H's fixation with cream carpets are the stuff of nightmares.

You would not believe what comes out of the carpets every time I clean them.

But Elsien...this time next year you'll be a dog mum again, I'm sure!

Yes but Elsien, what would you sooner have clean carpets or a dog to love and love you?
It would be no contest for me. The dog would win every time, s*d the carpets!!
I thought about you the other day, I passed a fella waiting to cross the road with an EBT.

Uhm, daily I take enough fur out of my house to clothe several Mexican hairless.

WonderCollie just looks bored. The previous breed wasn't as bad but still shed like there weas no tomorrow!

No contest for me either. I'd rather be up to my eyes in dog hair than have no dog.
