DS had a bad night, between asthma playing up and having nightmares it wasn't good. I have to phone the school and make yet another appointment with his teacher, his nightmare was about a few boys in his class who are picking on him. As usual it starts off small like calling him then pretending they didn't but now it's got to the stage where they're blaming him on everything like not winning a football game when he wasn't even playing! They've pushed and shoved him, one of the boys accused him of opening his bag and then pushed him down a mucky hill -luckily a Teacher saw this and the boy was spoken to but not enough was done IMO as he's still doing it
. Have told DS if it doesn't get sorted and they start hitting him again just to beat one of them up, yes he may get into trouble but they should stop.
Sorry rant over, need to get to school.I'm so gutted for you - this is honestly one of my fears of the future - with my Lo starting school - bullys are everywhere and apart of growing up i guess, but kids can be so cruel and its hard when your child is bearing the brunt of it ! you are right to talk to the school, but imo you should also teach him to stand up for himself - if a bully thinks they can get away with it they will continue - I do not like violence but don't let him be run over ! Best wishes to the wee pet !:(

off to visit 4 different toscas now so will be out all day. happy hunting to you all!!
(and to myself too of course)
There was this guy at a bar, just looking at his drink. He stays like that for half of an hour.
Then, this big trouble-making truck driver steps next to him, takes the drink from the guy, and just drinks it all down. The poor man starts crying. The truck driver says, “Come on man, I was just joking. Here, I’ll buy you another drink. I just can’t stand to see a man cry.”
“No, it’s not that. This day is the worst of my life. First, I fall asleep, and I go late to my office. My boss, outrageous, fires me. When I leave the building, to my car, I found out it was stolen. The police said that they can do nothing. I get a cab to return home, and when I leave it, I remember I left my wallet and credit cards there. The cab driver just drives away.”
“I go home, and when I get there, I find my wife in bed with the gardener. I leave home, and come to this bar. And just when I was thinking about putting an end to my life, you show up and drink my poison.”0 -

Sorry rant over, need to get to school.
Hope you can get this sorted for your son.So difficult to deal with but keep records of everything from what has happened and who/when you have discussed it with. Hopefully the school will step up to the mark and sort this now.
Smileand hopefully the world will smile back

It's so difficult to convert a cup to weight. A cup of flour won't weigh the same as a cup of butter etc
I bought some tupperware measuring cups and spoons from ebay years ago as I love so many of the american recipes I find online - and because I'm very lazy when it comes to converting a recipe (I have scales that are in grams as well as lbs and oz so I can use whatever system is called for lol)
I see lots of measuring cups for sale in the UK now. Not sure if they are equivilent to a US cup though. I have a feeling AUS cups are also different sizes to US cups but I may be wrong.
A US TBSP may also be different to a UK TBSP?
I think I will invest in some measuring cups then and make life easier0
