Mhoc, he's had one at home since 17 and has tried to get a transfer but they are not hiring in Preston so he is going to look eleswhere. He can still work at his old job when he comes home in the holidays.:)

One of my ohs drivers had a massive heart attack, he drove into the station safely, got a green signal but didn't move his train. They found him in his cab, paramedics worked on him but could not revive him. He was getting an extra sunday in before they were off on holiday for a fortnight today.
My oh a bit shaken up as you can imagine, only 4 years older than him and they'd been discussing pensions etc and taking early retirement a couple of weeks ago ...

Brought a tear to my eye....miss my mum so much( and she was elderly when she passed away) and that is why it pains me to hear of those little girls who lost their mum to cancer. Memories like yours are precious.
