Day for bad news - one of the mums in my daughters class at primary school died of cancer at the weekend - leaving two girls aged 8 and 4. How terrible
I the find out tonight that a close friend of mine who has fought breast cancer not once but twice has been recalled after her latest mammogram. Trying to be positive but surely this is gotta be bad news isn't it- Celebrate/Karlie? Any views.
She has three sons.
Just hugged my daughter and son and told them I love them.
So sorry to hear this, everything always seems to come at once sometimeskeep your chin up

I remember my first Christmas cake I agreed to make it with my mum just before she died, sadly we only got to mix the fruit in brandy, but it was lovely, we even brought stout to mix in aswell, I never made it, now I buy 1 when they get reduced.
I used to love baking with my mum, but this was one I couldn't do.
But every year it puts a smile on my face, she would have laughed.0 -

I have told him there must be lots of people to help at uni but he doesn't know who to ask. He is a young 20 yr old, small for his age (looks 13/14!) My last one to fly the nest so it's stressfull knowing he's lonely.
Has he got himself a part time job yet, is it allowed on his course? It is one way to get yourself out of the house and meeting people. My eldest got into YSJ at the clearing stage and within 4 weeks she started her course, 3 hours from home, knowing no one and everyone in her house doing different courses. She got herself a part time job within the first fortnight and worked there through most of her course and through it she made no end of friends.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
