Downfall of having a garage stash.....the mice are back. I have bought one of the Little Nipper traps and will be baiting in with peanut butter but any tips? They're up and down the cavity wall into the loft and keeping us awake at night
I did want to try the humane traps but peeps have said they don't work well and you have to let the mice go a long way from home.
Try a sonic repeller? They make an inaudible (to us) high pitched noise that give the mice a headache and they go elsewhere, about £25 though. Plug into the mains.essex girl in exile0 -

I love Shawshank Redemption, The Sound of Music and Dirty Dancing too. Great films.
Love Shawshank Redemption, but The Green Mile has to be my favourite film, I always cry when I watch it
Good morning everyone, hoping for a sunny day but somehow I doubt it will be !What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Ive emailed back asking to clarify if they are NOT accepting any manufacturer coupons etc, and if its nationwide, if they say it is so, then I will create merry heck ...
I doubt they can/will enforce it, but at the moment that is what they are stating.

Just to change the subject...I was on FB writing a Happy birthday message for a friend when I saw another friend had written a message too. All fine, except the other friend had attached a lovely photo of a birthday cake, candles blazing, etc to her message. The reason I noticed was because it was the same cake I had bought for my son in the summer. On closer inspection, it wasn't only the same cake, it was my actual photo! I thought it was hilarious! I wrote a jovial comment about her pinching my piccies and giggled through the day.
Today I feel really miffed as the photo-pincher has written a comment saying "Sorry to disappoint you Mrs J, but I have a stash of these I keep for special occasions. We obviously have similar taste." I feel quite irritated that she hasn't just admitted that she has copied my photo. I feel she is making out that I am a liar. Grrrr
I notice on FB photos there is an 'options' button which includes the option to download the photo. Is there any way to disable this or is it a case of just not uploading. I am careful that only 'friends' can see my piccies, but I didn't once think anyone would download them without mentioning it. Hmmm.
Thanks for listening!!! I feel better for ranting!!!0 -
Morning all
Not a nice day here and I'm suffering from a complete lack of motivation
So much to be done and I honestly cba!
Waiting in this morning for my boots to be delivered from H&M that someone posted about last week, can't remember who it was, sorry
Just hope they fit OK, fingers crossed anyways!
Tried to get the voucher from the Special K FB thingy, said I had won, but when I click print coupon I get an 'Invalid' message, so no coupon for meAnyone else having problems? TIA

Thrifty_Sister wrote: »Had a Very quick catch up as got loads of work today but didn't want to cut and run after reading certain peeps posts.
The very heart of this thread has been put under severe strain over the last few weeks - loads of glitches happening at a rate of knots things got messy when certain people got silly and or greedy. Enough said about that.
What really matters is the ethos of this thread is still intact - and I hope nobody ever ever destroys that no matter how hard they try.
You have only to read the posts by 3Dogs, Fudge2, Saversue, Spiraling Down, Vanilla Twist and several others that come to mind to see what is truly imprtant. I have been in tears reading the posts of these people as I can so associate with many of them. Let us not forget that many many people are battling evry single day of their lives to live, survive and manage their particular struggles in life. Life can be so damnably difficult at times but we should be as grateful as we can for what we have - as somebody said - Cheese? Good, but its not what is truly important.
Imagine being in the shoes of the family that Fudge2 wrote about with the young Mum who has two children and has terminal cancer. Would anybody want to be in their position? My heart goes out to them - as it does to all the other peeps struggling.
I truly hope that today is a better day for everyone struggling - ((hugs)) to you all.
If this post contributes towards helping the thread return to its former glory it will make my rant worthwhile.
I think this needs repeating, I wholeheartedly agree and my heart goes out to anyone who is having problems.
I only wish I had the nerve to read back to see what was going on, problem is I think I am also locking the time this morning as we went to see Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day yesterday - fantastic! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
