  • Hi orange xx what about a 0% cc? So that you can over pay the loan and then pay what you can on 0% cc for holiday cover? X

Hi Happy - that would make sense but I really don't want to take out another card.

Will just have some really frugal months!

Had a mad week at work so I am pleased to have a restful weekend :D

I hope everyone has had a lovely day

    Morning all.

Right I am on a mission to reach a goal this month. I have been trying to budget paying the holiday. By the end of Feb I would like to have paid £500 of the £1500.

£200- already paid from this months wages.
£150- my goal to have left from our wages at the end of the month.
£100 from a website hubby has built and is owed.
£50 from E.b@y and FB sales.

So my task is for us to have £150 left in money which might be difficult. We have DSS and DD birthdays this month plus our trip to centreparks. We won't need too much for spending but it is still a lot on food and fuel.

Hubby has £370 left and I have about £200-£250. Will have to be frugal!

I have photos of all stuff I wanted to sell sorted so just need to get them online.

I also need to remember I have to claim £20 for a parcel lost by the Royal Mail!

Weight wise I only lost 2lbs..I was hoping for 3lbs really. Though means I have lost half a stone in 2 weeks :) My sis is on about starting swimming and the gym so I may join her. However this will be a little bit of money if I do!

Didn't do too much over the weekend. Spent a sunny day just doing the housework on Saturday (pleased that it is now spotless though) then Sunday, when we wanted to go out it was gloomy! Typical. As it happens though DD1 was poorly in the afternoon so she was happy staying in bed!

    Hi all.

    Things are going okay here.

My loan payment came out yesterday....It was at £2076 and now £1893. That sub 2k feeling is great! As I am unable to over pay this month I will have to be pleased with that until next payment which should just about take it to sub £1.7k :D

After making all payments now I have £210 left. I have DD's birthday though which is redecorating her room! I have already bought some gifts which she should be pleased with.

Need to keep the spends as low as possible now and get eb@ying!!!

Right off to start DD's rocket for school!!!

Everyone is having babies around me at the mo...it's making me very broody and therefore a little sad :(

Ahh hon, don't feel sad. Although I totally understand as everyone is annoucing pregnancy left right and centre around me at the moment - including 3 people close to me. Is there any way that hubby would reconsider and want another or would it really just be a case of doing it because you would like another and not him? :(

You're doing really well on the money front. Try not to worry about clearning the debt before the hols, turn it into a positive in that at least you are not getting into debt for an amazing holiday and you are still managing to reduce your debts whilst doing so. Win win situation if you ask me!

    Choc xx

    Hi ladies.

I know that hubby would if I told him how much I wanted another and he would be great. However I would like him to really want another. Some days are worse than others. I do feel I have got more selfish in my old age and now having older kids suits me. Plus I love my job and I would hate to leave it and only go back part time. Then I sit there and recall that I never in a million years imagined I'd only have 2 children. Sometimes the thought of not having another really gets me down and I feel really deflated and hollow if that makes sense. Not owning a house is a big issue....I think if we did then hubby's view would be different. All his points are very valid ones that are my concerns too...men just don't have that emotional feeling that trumps the logical points!

I'd not say never as suddenly he might get a new job and be earning more and we could have another comfortably. Would be a large age gap though- my girls are 10 and 8 this year!

  • Ah Hun I don't know what to say maybe you should talk? Don't hang into regrets. Everyone tells me kids are as expensive as you make them. If it is meant to happen you will make it work :-). I wouldn't feel so pressured about owning an house, you have the freedom of renting and you can save up to buy a house don't feel pressured by stereotypical views xx

So no monthly visit temp still high no dip and day 16 past ovulation test negative maybe too soon il take hope in that my temp is still high :-) x
