Hi Happy - what fab news about Virgin. You must be over the moon!
I am sorry you got a negative...however the positive spin is as each month goes past the better you are finally for a baby!
I have made the decision to close my Next account after I clear it. It will b a shame as I like being able to order in a lot of things to try on but I do feel I keep more as I am not paying it straight away!
I am better of ordering it in to store which I have to pay upfront for or just to shop when I get change to go to the nearest big next.Orange Fairy

Thats a good idea orange
, and yes your right finacially better is always a plus. I used to have a next account i cleared it and closed it because your right we tend to keep things because its not an upfront payment. My list of negative wealth is slowly getting shorter. The virgin guy asked if i wanted my credit back or give to charity i said il have it back as i dont know if by charity they mean mr branson lol x I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Morning Diary
A bit of a quiet weekend. I was a bit down we didn't go out for a walk yesterday. My hubby and daughters are suddenly addicted by games and the telly. I feel like asking them to leave the house is forcing them to do something they don't want to do. They didn't used to be like this and so it is making me feel very sad
Dinner at MILs yesterday so that was MSE
Reached my decluttering target- yet to record and count it out but at a quick tally it was over 300 items
I am very pleased. Will just carry on now and see how much I can do.
I need to sort the DVDs and that is everything done downstairs. :j I finished under the bed last night so in our bedroom it is only hubby's clothes. I got them all out of the wardrobe on Saturday but he has made a big point of not doing them so they are now on the floor. This felt a bit unkind to not give up 20 mins of his time after all the effort I have put in. With working full time I really just want to get the house to exactly how it should be so it is easier work for us both.
Sorry for the unchirpy post. Feeling a little down at the mo. My bro has announced they are having baby no2. I am so pleased for them and excited to have another niece or nephew but it is very close to home with something that is quite sensitive for me at the moment. I am going to try hard to just be excited and let that little hollow feeling pass.
Onwards and upwards....looking forward to work today. Lots to get on with!

It really doesnt feel like I haven't posted on my diary this week!
It has been so mental at work - I have been constantly fighting with couriers all week so I have been looking forward to the weekend.
Not too much going on....decluttering stopped so need to restart it again. Will do the DVD's tonight and downstairs in complete! I have skittles tonight and then hubby has boys night. I am tempted to have an early night as I feel knackered this week. If not i'll use my alone time to list some ebay items!
We have been busy using up the food we can from the freezer this week for lunch and dinners.
I have made a purchase of a £19.95 dress this week....I ordered a jumper from Joe Browns for hubbys birthday but while there I loved about £100 of stuff in the sale. I ordered it all in with the intention of keeping one thing...after ordering though I was worried id like all of it! Luckily I only liked the dress I kept and I'm really pleased with it.
Just got to get the other items collected and then I'll have an £80 refund which will be useful!
Right off to sort out these DVD's while I'm in the mood for it!!!Orange Fairy

Morning
After a slightly stressful week last week I am convinced this week will be a good one. Hubby's birthday on Sunday so I'm looking forward to that. Off out for a meal at Prezz0s on Saturday. We are using our mr T vouchers so it will be an MSE meal.
We had a lovely weekend...Saturday the girls had ballet which keeps me busy all day. However I got the DVDs sorted which was great. After the flooding down here one of the little vintage home shops had a flood sale- everything half price. It was so busy in the morning that we couldn't get in. I said to mum I wasn't too worried and I was only hoping to see if there were these little seaside wooden houses in a row. Then I walked to the village later and it was quiet so we went in.....on the side was one of the little house set that I was after! It was meant to be. Cost £5 and I had done my deed of supporting the village as all the posters in the shops keep telling me too!
Then Sunday we went to see one of my friends who lives about 45 mins away. Spent a couple hours with her and then went on a rocky coastal walk. Expecting to pay parking at both places but charges don't start until feb. So an MSE morning. Then we popped to my Nans who I rarely see to give her Xmas presents. She drives me looney but it was kind of nice to see her. Then off to MILs for dinner!
That's my weekend in a (large) nutshell!
I want this week to be as MSE as poss! So no sudden unnecessary spends.....ill see how I do!
Hi Wannabe. Hubby is pretty good round the house in terms of housework so I can't fault him there....just things like this he doesn't get 'on board' with!

Wow of a productive weekend indeed, it sounds lovely
. I am trying to limit my internet time as i seem to be more productive when i arent surfing the web lol

Hi Happy!
I know what you mean. Generally I sit on the bus and write up any posts on my note app to copy across to MSE. Uses up my 'dead' time but means I don't often comment on other people's posts sometimes.
I haven't spent a penny this week! Woohoo! Though going to a travel agents with my mum today to see about a holiday to Spain!
Finished a load of things that had been building up at work yesterday which felt good. Bit of a weird day today as we have a lady coming in as a morning trial for a sales job. I have to teach her to use the ordering system. We need to assess if her personality fits!
Meatballs and tagliatelle from frozen stores for dinner today . Will carry on using the water machine at work. I am drinking 5 big glasses which I measured to total 2 litres.
Made the kids agree to a bath/shower 'contract yesterday as they whinge so badly when they have to have a shower. I think agreeing to the days will make them aware in advance. They have just stopped having baths together which is great but it means double the amount of water. So they have agreed half showers and half baths :-) gotta watch the pennies!
Had a massive ordeal with DD1 and food last night. However I feel a bit rubbish about it as I know food can be a sensitive issue and I don't want to make DD1 have a bad relationship with food. Easier said than done on the moment. She is driving me looney. At nearly 10 how can you like sausages enough to have them one minute and then not :-/ she sat in front of a single sausage for an hour last night!!!
Right anyway...today with be a better day

Good morning orange, you are very time productive
. Yay on the no spending, every little helps, im trying to save pennies where i can. I have even contemplated buying some of 2013 christmas presents each month so that decembers wage is not so severly hit. Am i crazy does it work ? or do you find you make use of them earlier ? haha
I dont think il be booking any holidays this year abroad, i really want to hit the negative wealth as fast and as hard as i can. If i get pregnant i want to be in the best financial position possible.
I was curious do you have any salary saved for 3 months salary? emergency fund what do you think it should be. I have been really stressing about one, oh has his own business its doing well but its not like working for a company it takes time to build security. i considered clearing the overdrafts and keeping them on not to use but as the salary secure if needed until i could build it up enough myself that way im not just looking at money in a pot while intrest is applied to outstanding negative wealth.
I have also thought about house deposit ? well we have a secured loan so i thought it more cost effective to clear that and not pay intrest so that if we do choose to sell the house we dont have outstanding negative wealth and any overpayments to the house will stand as a deposit, if we decide to keep it on and rent it out we have someone else paying the mortgage hopefully low enough to create a passive income when the time comes. Lots of things to think about....
Hope work is okay today and the persons personality fits
im sure your a great teacher, what is it that you do ?
Tea sounds yummy, i have done a little food shop and got some good meat deals so will keep as close to grocery spends as possible...:D
You would think kids loved bath time and shower time lol i dont remember what i was like haha I can tell you this with regards to food.. i was a terrible child with food, i had a phase where i would only eat eggs and certain stuff my mum left me to it i think and im ok now :rotfl:Im in no position to offer advice and it might be one for a parent forum or friends, i would have done the same how can you like then notlike i think its boundaries i guess but maybe ask what it is they dont like about the sausage ? from what my friends say they eat what the rest of us eat and if they dont want to eat it they wont starve, they will eat when they are hungry:A dont be too hard on yourself
((hugs)) xxx

Hi Happy. We don't have an emergency fund but we plan to when we pay everything off. I think hubby's credit card is our emergency fund at the mo. I suppose to me it seems a bit pointless to have a set amount in the bank for an emergency when that could be off a debt. I'd like to have 3 months wages in hand just in case.
I think yes you would be better of paying the secured loan as also then you would be a better customer financially with no loan when you go to move house. And it would feel a whole lot better!
I need to have a chat regarding DD1s eating with hubby so we are on the same page and react in the same way.
No holidays booked yet!
everything has gone up in price!!! We will keep looking!
Only 95p spent on soup yesterday as I had no lunch but other than that......no spends
Need to assess my money situation a bit! Not sure what I have left.
The lady yesterday was nice and seemed confident- it's a sales role so they need to be a confident type of person. We have another lady coming tomorrow.
Happy- I work in a company that design and sell baby changing bags. I am a lot of roles at the mo- customer services, sales order processing, accounts and I keep an eye on competitors. I need to decide which way I want to go. As the company gets bigger I can't do all the roles!
