  • The chocolate avocado cake was a huge success with everyone not just SIL who was very appreciative of our efforts (we also made mayonnaise so that she could eat the coleslaw) :) I did freak out a bit on Friday evening when I found out that my nephew now reacts to avocado (projectile vomiting) and banana (rash) :( but it only seems to be when he eats them directly not via her.

    :T:T:T

I had not heard of banana/avocado, allergy/intolerance - I've just looked it up - and I've learnt something. Thank you.

Do they think he will grow out of the intolerances? Poor thing.

Fab news that the cake went down well :)

Pulled pork and cake for all meals going forward sounds perfectly reasonable to me! :D

    *fingers crossed*

He had a lot of oral/IV antibiotics when he was a couple of months of old so hopefully, once his gut microbiome has had a chance to recover, he will grow out of at least some of them.

    Hi MWC

Just catching up...you've been busy! Was the chocolate avocado cake a vegan one? Seen a recipe and would like to try it out - glad it was a success.

Was worn out reading your lists, to be fair mine are about the same, but I seem to be on go slow since I left work!

    Catch up soon.

  • Hi MCI

Yes, it was vegan but it also needed to be gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free!
