    Looking forward to this update. Are these "hatching eggs" basically fertilised eggs that will hatch into little chicks? Is this because you have no rooster?
    Baby Step 1 - £1k Emergency Fund - COMPLETE
    Baby Step 2 - Pay off all debts except the Mortgage - £9,326 to go
    Baby Step 3 - Save 6 months of expenses into full Emergency Fund - £4,300 to go

    Baby Step 4 - Put 15% into Pension
    Baby Step 6 - Pay off the Mortgage early
    Baby Step 7 - Live like no-one else :D
  • Yikes, it's only 8th July and I've already spent £195.26 on groceries etc for the two of us :eek:

    £48.46 - fruit & veg
    £82.06 - meat & fish (incl. £72.50 on 1/2 lamb from a local farm)
    £7.64 - dairy
    £1.37 - bread
    £9.93 - store cupboard ingredients
    £17.50 - wine/coke/tonic water
    £0.99 - cleaning products
    £12.01 - toiletries & painkillers
    £5.19 - miscellaneous (Sainsbury's magazine, birthday card, coffee filter papers)
    £10.11 - chickens treats

    Looks like I'll be living on gruel whilst Mr MWC is away!

    I didn't need to take painkillers in the middle of the night so that's an improvement :T

    Postie has just delivered a letter from N/wide (monthly mortgage payment is now £114.13) and £20 GVs from my JL CC :)

    and I managed to resist buying any plants... well until closing time when I picked up a few bargains :T
